They didn't get the bounces in their own end. Should've been 6-2 Flames, with no overtime for the refs to F up. Also Saros stood on his head.

Wellllll at least it was a reg season game but we will probably see the same in the playoffs. Do refs in other leagues answer to the commissioner? I could see an argument for changing that.

He would have never made that.
Flames had there chances unrealistic to expect never ending penalties.

If they play like they did most of the night tonight, I'm ok with ot.

If the effort was like last year, ugh.

The flames played awesome, that first period was an absolute beat down. We would have won that game almost every time without a few blown calls, a great game by Saros and our own inability to finish on breakaways and 2 on 1s.

This is an easy loss to take, the effort and coaching was there.

Could you imagine if that same play happened in OT against the Oilers and it was McDavid hauled down. They would be launching a federal investigation and firing all 4 officials right after the game.

This reminds me of a game last season when you could hear Andersson. "WHERE'S OUR FXXKING PENALTY"

Also I feel like Markstrom was already mad before the Pred took the shot given how quickly he went to skating after the ref. Good lesson for him too in maintaining composure and focusing on making the stop, no matter what caused the play to develop.

We can't be falling into Oiler habits here. That goes for Vladar too on his mask malfunction.

Learn from it and worry about what you can control.

Simply, if they play like that, they’ll be fine. Weird things sometime maybe happen. At least a point.

Yup, and when you aren’t going to get in the play anyway, might as well put yourself in a place where you might be able to get the 2 on 1 going the other way if it’s saved.

Agreed. Not saying he quit on the play but that looked like his decision making was born out of frustration. Need to channel that. Got frustrated last year and skated out to tackle a Canuck and we saw what happened

Three on three OT is a gimmicky crapshoot.

Frustrating way to lose for sure. Two penalties on Backlund and some interference on Tkachuk for good measure.

I feel pretty similar tonight to how I felt after the Anaheim game. Flames drastically outplay and outshoot their opponents. Zadorov with some awful giveaways making me wonder if he will stay in the line up. Opposition goalie stole the show.

Really happy for Kylington who has gone from the pressbox to being an important member of the top 4.

Coleman and Lindholm weren't great tonight. Lots of misplays on the puck.

Mangiapane was so good. He gave everything tonight.

On to the next one. Good to get a point and keep playing like this they will win way more than they lose.

I am not a big fan of Backlund in OT. Would prefer more Mangiapane

Oh well, time for another 6 game win streak after an OT loss.
