Zadorov-Gudbranson had 0.18 xGF and 0.41 xGA 5v5 with the bulk of their icetime against the Flyers' 4th line and 3rd line. Which would be poor on a normal night, but really stands out poorly on a night where Hanifin-Andersson were 0.53 xGF and 0.23 xGA versus the Flyers' 1st line plus assorted lines while Kylington-Tanev were 1.05 xGF and 0.17 xGA versus the Flyers' 2nd and 1st lines.
To the eye, he was pretty meh. Not as bad as the Ducks game but still some disappointing moments.

I would like to see Monahan with Dube and Mangiapane next game. Vladar in net, Valimaki-Stone third pair.

Just disagree on Vladar. No need to shoehorn in the backup over the next week here at all. Markstrom coming off back-to-back shutouts for one, but more importantly if you play vladar next game markstrom ends up with 4 full days between games. Not ideal when your goalie is absolutely red hot and stopping everything.

Yes to everything except Vladar. You don't sit a red-hot goaltender except in back-to-backs.

Dallas is one of the lowest-scoring teams in the league right now (only Arizona has scored fewer). I bet Vladar will get the start on Thursday.

The eye test definitely matched the numbers in this one. He looked lost and often wasn't where he was supposed to be both while defending and breaking out. Also what limited zone time Philly had always seemed to happen with him on the ice. There was one play where he took a penalty when he broke his stick on the opponents stick and they showed Sutter with his back to the team having a detailed discussion with Huska. I thought that Big Z was going to miss a few shifts after but was out on his next turn.
I wouldn't be surprised if he misses the next game until they can sort out his positioning in practice some more.

Sutter was wrong. This isn't a 3-2 league
It's a 4-0 league

People need to start chanting Sutter at the dome.
This is truly amazing considering our roster.
Also kudos to Markstrom and Coleman tonight. They played great games.
Can't wait until Tuesday!!!!

Surprised me as well. I can only guess they’re trying to build his confidence? I’ve never seen the guy play before so I don’t know whether this is typical or if he’s in a bad patch, but he’s very clearly the 8th-best defence be on the roster in my opinion.
There’s got to be a breaking point where it makes more sense for Mackey to be with the big team but it goes to waste that space on Zadorov. Maybe they’re just waiting for Mackey to get 30 or so games under his belt?

Not to be redundant, but as someone who's always wanted Kylington to get a legit chance, I can't believe how much he's exceeded even my highest hopes. He's creating tons up front but he's also keeping it simple on breakouts, making good choices when defending and even using his body and playing a smart, effective physical game. And I love seeing him come back on D after a rush -- his recovery is amazing.
I realize this is jumping the gun, but he looks like a more dynamic Brodie at the moment. Still doesn't have Brodie's hockey smarts (few do) but the ease of movement and ability to cover the ice is definitely reminiscent. How amazing would it be to think he still has a few more steps to take?

Imagine if we still had Bennett. Sutter just knows how to get the best out of players.

Why would you play Vladar. Markstrom is as dialed in as any goalie I’ve ever seen. Ride that ####

No, keep him fresh. When this team plays well they can win regular season games even with Vladar in net. Need Marksteom to peak in April thru June.
