In a fully vaccinated society, the only result will be the more resistant variant of the virus will prevail, making the vaccine ineffective. Before anyone bothers me with a delusional answer, please do you reaserch about Israel, a nation with around 85% vaccination. They have the probably the most severe outbreak of delta variant in the world.
Vaccination doesn't make you immune. It doesn't stop the spread. Most of the people get vaccine just to be able to get back to normal life. I bet a lot of people will get a shot just so they could attend events such NHL games. But the moment anyone will raise a legal issue at the court, all of this madness will crumble like a card house. Given that in Canada, the individual rights and freedom still have any value.
You need to make a decision: do you want to live in a free world, or is the 1984 type of world more fitting for you? Honestly, I am disgusted.
The good news is that among Israel's serious infections on Thursday of this week, according to Health Ministry data, the rate of serious cases among unvaccinated people over age 60 (178.7 per 100,000) was nine times more than the rate among fully vaccinated people of the same age category, and the rate of serious cases among unvaccinated people in the under-60 crowd (3.2 per 100,000) was a little more than double the rate among vaccinated people in that age bracket.
The bad news, doctors say, is that half of Israel's seriously ill patients who are currently hospitalized were fully vaccinated at least five months ago. Most of them are over 60 years old and have comorbidities. The seriously ill patients who are unvaccinated are mostly young, healthy people whose condition deteriorated quickly.
TL: DR There are fully vaccinated people get seriously ill but they are mostly older and have comorbidities but unvaccinated people in the same age range were 9 times more likely to be seriously sick. Delta is also seriously harming young and healthy unvaccinated people. There has been enough about spreading that you can go read.
Also, pick a lane. The government didn't mandate the Flames make vaccinations mandatory they did so through their own choice as a private corporation. Would it be better if the government forced them to rescind that choice and overstep the public vs private sphere? Private businesses have pretty strong protections on who they take as a customer. They are not obligated to serve anyone.

That whole 'list of people that should be killed' bit is probably my all-time favourite in comedy. It's the bit that got me into comedy in the first place
My theory is REAL which I think operates the exhibition grounds including Mosaic stadium and Brandt Centre (where the Pats play) are waiting until the Queen City Ex (carnival attended by your typical anti vax type) is over after this weekend to announce a similar policy.
Any announcement wouldn't affect the Ex. As new rules likely wouldn't go into affect till mid september anyway. Wouldn't affect labour day game either.
In another studyTrusted Source published in April 2021, researchers compared the accuracy of four types of COVID-19 rapid antigen tests. The researchers found that all four tests correctly identified a positive COVID-19 case about half the time and correctly identified a negative COVID-19 case almost all the time.
Are you sure? With Delta asymptomatic infection and transmission is certainly one source of spread.
An antigen test is somewhere around 80% effective in identifying positive cases so that is certainly close enough that without knowing more information about the kind of rapid testing who administers it and how long it’s been since the vaccinated person was vaccinated which is less likely to spread Covid for the 3 hrs a person is at a flames game.
Rapid testing is certainly sufficient to drive the spread of Covid below 1 if it was administered to every unvaccinated person daily. Not very practical or cost effective but it would work.
The other outstanding question is whether when these test read negative is a person contagious at that point in time. I don’t think that has ever been tested. Also not tested as far as I am aware is do those tests perform better on delta with the higher viral loads
Looking at your link the Standard Q test would provide similar protection to a vaccine.
And why is that? The risk can't be much higher if other arenas are letting this happen.
Rapid testing doesn't catch infection reliably until the person is full blown contagious. Hope Hicks infected a ton of people in the White House including the President because they relied on rapid testing.
I think this decision by the CSEC is more about pandering to those threatening to cancel season tickets/boycott games due to lack of vaccine policy. I'm sure they got tons of emails judging from the responses in this thread. If the true concern was the limitation of spread, then why wouldn't they allow fans with negative tests into games?
They're a business. Why wouldn't they provide the kind of experience most of their customers want?

Rapid tests have a pretty high false negative rate plus they are time sensitive. A person with a negative test is demonstrably more likely to have COVID than a vaccinated person. And non-rapid tests are usually weeks old.
Do you people even TRY? Like, you've got all the facts in the world right at your fingertips. It's never been easier. And yet you get even the most basic information wrong. Maybe it's time to listen to the rest of us, instead of pretending you know what you are talking about. Go get the ####ing vaccine.
Fuzz, I am sure some try and some try really, really, hard to find facts to support their opinion. Sadly (for them), facts are very elusive when opinions just don't hold water.

Nice. So its not yet 85%, it's "only" 62-68%. They still have a big outbreak of delta variant. Meaning that a lot of those vaccinated are spreading the more resistat variant(s). You have taken your jab at me, but how do you feel about the sheer fact the vaccination has done absolutely nothing for that country? I doubt you have an answer for it, so i am expecting another personal attack.
I bottles my mind that people can sit at their computers or phones using the absolute magical devices created by science and try and tell us they don't don't trust science because their great uncle so and so got a vaccine and then next day got lung cancer.
(he just happened to smoke for 60 years)
Smoke, drink, do drugs, Life saving vaccine? hell no, not putting that #### in my body.
Or the religious "immune system from god" responses...okay then, weird humans life expectancy used to be like 24 years, god must be getting better.

Come on. You're the one telling us to do the research yet you clearly have done none yourself. Please refer to this post

20% is a pretty big difference, and there is no evidence they have the worst Delta outbreak in the world. They have 3M people who are unvaccinated, so I don't know exactly how you can argue the vaccines don't work.

Do you believe the Israeli data is factual?
If that data shows that the vaccine reduces harm would you get vaccinated?

Are you guys all this bad at math?
They can’t tie into the logic that when most people are vaxxed of course the number of breakthroughs is a higher percentage. If you have 100% of people vaxxed, 100% of the COVID cases will be in vaxxed people. Duh. The question is - have infection rates reduced in raw numbers? Have hospitalization and deaths decreased?
