Here's the thing... I'm NEVER going to get that shot. See you all in 2023, when the safety data trials finally get released.

I doubt you'll be back to gloat about the aforementioned safety trials. You also won't be back to admit you were conned about the vaccines.

Of course you're a Housley fan. It shows how poor your judgement is.
Also, LOL! You're going to be waiting a looooooooong time for that "safety data".

I love science too, my brother. Several of my clients are vaccine developers. Most pro-jab types can't get very far into a debate without spewing headlines and have done very little to no research of their own.
But enjoy the smugness for now. Israel has already given us a spoiler warning of what's coming up next.

Booster shots that are effective and continue to lower risk in the face of variants?

No, I'm going to be waiting until 2023... which is when the Pfizer safety data trials end. They won't be worth much, given the fact that the approval today was based off of the 44,000 in the previous trials, of which 22,000 were given a placebo and have since been told and given the real deal.
Must be bliss to just accept that 6 months is now considered "long term" data, when before, anything under 36 months was considered near term.
No, but in all seriousness, enjoy those hockey games. With all of us unjabbed not in attendance, you won't be able to continue blaming us for all those breakthrough variants you're generating and passing around.
Enjoy the ride!

You'll know when you need one, because eventually that's how they'll validate your vaccination status, with endless rapid efficacy testing outside of venues. One of my clients in the UK is already rolling this out through a NHS trial contract.
What a fun world to look forward to for our kids!
At least you'll have that hockey team to waste 3 hours a night, three nights a week on, instead of reading something to learn about topics you weren't familiar with before... or take up a productive hobby.

Oh I've seen the Hitler and Nazi references and think they are dumb, I took it as not related and satire. I'm also skimming the thread and not really reading all the posts so what do I know.

Can you explain to me what about mRNA vaccines have you so afraid? What aspect of the vaccine do you think is unsafe? Is it the mRNA? Is it something else? Surely you must have some knowledge about how mRNA works being so steadfast that they will be deemed unsafe.

Conned by whom, my friend? Are you going to accuse me of getting all my information from Facebook or Instagram?
What does Dr. Robert W. Malone have to gain from warning people about the mRNA technology he was instrumental in inventing?
A brand new injection, never before approved in the history of pharmaceuticals, whipped up within hours, and rolled out with lightning speed. It doesn't prevent you from getting the disease. It doesn't prevent you from transmitting the disease. A disease with a survival rate of over 99.5%, and y'all are high fiving like we just won a world war.
We have ZERO long term data. We don't have any idea of the long-term effects.
I work in marketing for clients in this field, and have for over a decade. I've seen $9 stocks plummet to $0.09 overnight with just a dozen adverse effects reported. We're currently witnessing history, that's for sure.
They keep saying it's safe and effective. If that were the case, then why are there tens of thousands of deaths associated with it, and hundreds of thousands of serious adverse effects? We have no clue about the long term effects of this thing on our immune system, nor our reproductive system.
Very talented and serious experts in the applicable sciences are speaking out about this, but they keep getting silenced. And all of you are just happy those experts can't get into a hockey game now. Bravo.
Bigger fish to fry. Enjoy the fall/winter lockdowns. Probably a good idea to go ahead and exchange Christmas gifts now.

Yikes ... I think both of you (Scorp too) took this too far.
Fleury stands for a lot of things I don't believe in, but he's certainly allowed to not choose to get vaccinated and because of that not able to go to hockey games.
There's nothing controversial in that other than a personal choice that he's allowed to make.

Bias is insidious how it sneaks in everywhere. Lots of good sources will make an effort to correct for their bias, but even then its hard to entirely avoid. of course that doesn't mean you can't get good news. As you and others have mentioned, those that focus on reporting facts rather than interpreting and giving opinion on them is a great start. You can also check with independent sources to see what bias there is to your news, so you are at least aware of it.
Ad Fontes publishes an interesting media bias chart.
They've got an interactive version on their site which has more details, along with a white paper that shows their methodology. Of course even they can't escape bias in their reporting. They use the American Democratic / Republican split to determine what counts as left or right leaning. If you live elsewhere in the world you might find what you consider left or right isn't really represented in their findings.

Antibody Dependant Enhancement (ADE) is an issue with mRNA. Listen to the inventor of the technology himself, Dr. Robert W. Malone. They sure canceled him quickly after he spoke to Dr Bret Weinstein about the topic.
But it's not the mRNA itself that's the issue, but the S-spike proteins that the mRNA is designed to recreate. We know from the work of Dr. Byram Bridle through obtained autopsy data from Japan that the spike proteins don't stay put in the arm like we were told they would, but instead travel throughout the entire body, often congregating in larger numbers around the genital regions.
We've witnessed 4/5ths of women in the first trimester suffering miscarriages. We've witnessed youths (mostly male) suffering from myocarditis. We've witnessed several people with other major side effects.
But... I mean, pocket dawgs and malts, they're worth the risk for, right guys?
Maybe if we trade for Eichel I'll reconsider my values and get the jab. /s
