Felt this may be a needed message here. There had been a lot of name calling and belittling here towards anyone who doesn’t share the same views.
Again if you feel comfortable with it, go for it! If you don’t don’t.
But please be kind and respectful and don’t just think righteously of yourself and look down on others who may not be comfortable for a multitude of reasons.
Yes this is an Instagram post and there are likely many others encouraging people to get it but there is reason for both sides and they should be respected and not bullied by others.

While I don't agree with that, and had to look up what FOAD means, that seems to be the message from those who refuse to get vaccinated towards those who are actually unable to do so and are relying on everyone else around them to get it.


As for the forum changing over the years, I've been here for quite a while and lurked before that. It has indeed changed, and so has the world around it. I haven't agreed with every direction it has taken, but I have definitely benefited from reading some of the conversations here over the past two decades which have forced some introspection on my own thoughts and beliefs. Sometimes when the world changes around you, you should stop and critically examine why.

This isn't a matter of difference of opinion. It's a matter of health and for many people, life and death. Do I say that lightly? No, I do not. But I don't take it back. I will gladly exclude anybody from my life, whether in real life or on the internet, who believes in conspiracy theory garbage and is putting everyone else at risk as a result.

Really, giving you a tough time is us looking out for you and your best interests, and longevity here. Even though we don't see eye to eye.

This is one of those rare issues where the usual left/right politics needs to be put aside.

This is a genuine public health crisis that requires all of us to do our part.

I love being vaccinated. I now tell any anti-vaxxers I meet that the minute I got the vaccine, my mental and physical health drastically improved, I now have more energy, I feel less tired, my gym routines are better, my food tastes better, my skin is healthier, I'm getting multiple promotions at work, I'm winning lotteries, my condo is sunnier and fresher, etc. If they get jabbed, they can improve their lives too.

The media, government, and vaxed all forget to realize that our bodies have an immune system which has over a 99% chance of beating Covid without any treatment.
