I seem to be able to find data that you say doesn’t exist and I seem to be able to track results from studies that seem less “all over the place” and more practical and expected given the nature, location, and variables of the studies. But you’re telling me what I’m seeing is wrong or isn’t reliable, so show your credentials.
Put them up, and I’ll take what you say as an expert opinion.

I'm not offering an expert opinion. I'm saying that the experts don't agree.
Look, I am already late to pick up my wife from work, but here is one of the first results produced by a quick search:
Quote:
The hope, Jere McBride, PhD, director of the experimental pathology graduate program at the University of Texas Medical Branch, tells Verywell, is that the Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines will confer immunity for two to three years. In reality, however, the duration “could be longer or shorter” and will only be determined by conducting studies of people who have received the vaccine.
|
In other words, Dr. McBride confesses that there is no data and the duration of immunity is a WAG.
If you bug me about it later, I may come up with enough similar reports to make you sick and tired of me – or I may just ignore you, because I am getting sick and tired of you.

Bingo! I had 5 people on one of my sites get COVID. All 5 of them were vaccinated. I sat next to one guy for 3 days straight right before he was confirmed positive the following day and did not get it as a non vaccinated person.

My kids have been vaccinated with measles and polio, etc….
I haven’t heard of anyone having a polio vaccine getting polio.
I have heard of people getting Covid after getting a covid vaccine.
Your example is apples and oranges IMo.

Is anyone aware of any arena sporting events in the States (NBA/NHL playoff games, UFC, etc.) being considered a super-spreader? Of course, many of these events took place before Delta really took hold as the dominant strain.

You get an F on your paper.
If you can't name your source, you haven't cited it.

I have the right to not take it if I dont feel its safe or fully tested yet. Call me an idiot if you like. Ill live my life like a hermit and wear a mask the 2-3 places i do need to go. It doesn't bother me. I can do that until I feel comfortable in taking a vaccine.

Feel like going anywhere… being vaccinated doesn't get you there. Wait for the government to give you a piece of paper proving you have been vaccinated. If they choose not to give you that piece of paper, stay home until the day you die. Fun, huh?
What does this garbage even mean? This isn't about a vaccine. It's about the fact that the state can arbitrarily refuse to give you a document without which your basic human rights are abolished. Do yourself a favour and Google ‘social credit China’. If you like, you can follow it up with ‘Soviet Union internal passport’.
It was wrong when the Canadian government imposed such a system on Aboriginals. It will be equally wrong if they impose such a system on everyone.
Freedom of movement and freedom of association are basic human rights, not privileges. Taking them away from people is oppression. I do not trust any state agency to decide who should or should not have such basic rights, because frankly, it might be staffed by people like you.
|
What basic common understanding do you not grasp that it is a privilege to enter any privately owned operation it isn’t your right.
Privilege breeds entitlement. You’re entitled, I get it.
The government is the only entity that can effectively organize operations that private businesses are requesting. It won’t be perfect and if they don’t do it trying to fill the gap privately will be a mess and a calamity.
You seem to be splitting here.
This isn’t an all or nothing situation.
Freedom of movement does not mean you can just walk into anyone’s property.
Because you can’t walk into any privately owned operation also doesn’t mean you have to stay at home.
Freedom of association doesn’t mean you get to associate wherever you please.
It also doesn’t mean you can’t associate in private spaces.
Much like free speech, doesn’t mean you get a platform and people have to listen. It means you don’t go to jail for speech. It also doesn’t mean you’re free from consequences if you expose yourself as a lunatic.
No state agency is trampling on these mythical rights of yours, vaccine passport or otherwise. They don’t exist. Maybe try a new tinfoil hat.
But thanks for attempting to denigrate my family and work while we keep putting out our efforts on the front lines of Covid to keep the ignorant, entitled, and privileged alive.
Quite Nobel. Why don’t you name the “state agencies” on “your list.”

I am writing them an email tonight expressing my disappointment.
I told him we are not comfortable attending games unless there is a policy in place similar to the Jets. He understood and said he would raise our concerns with management.
Funny, as season ticket holders we have participated in several surveys and questionnaires over the years on a variety of topics from the entertainment package as a whole to the design of the new Event Centre.
On this most important issue however to my knowledge the Flames did not reach out to season ticket holders and others to solicit their opinions. The Jets did.
Needless to say I’m very frustrated.

I'm not "pretending" to know that people can still catch Covid if they're vaccinated, because it's a fact. For some reason people have been overlooking this fact or failing to understand the science behind it. This is why not allowing unvaccinated people into a hockey rink or business makes absolutely no sense.

I guess there is still time for everyone to get vaccinated and that policy to be enacted. Outreach shouldn't take much time at all.

Is it not true that unvaxxed are more likely to get it and spread it though? Higher viral load and all?

Privately owned businesses choose to run how they see fit. If people that don't want to get vaccinated want to be respected for their choice, why can't they respect a privately run business for their choices?

Chances of catching it are lessened. Effects are significantly lessened if you do. This is why it makes sense.
You can still die wearing a seatbelt. But you increase your odds of living if you do.
