Honestly the allegations shouldn’t be acknowledged IMO.

Carcillo pretty much said that Sutter was mean and demeaning to people...hell all head coaches are at some point.

This isn’t a Babcock situation where the guy seemed to be truly abused to the point of mental health issues.

And it’s certainly not near the Peters situation of actual racism.

I wondered this also. Ward is always pretty stoic, but there was a noticeably more wistful or despondent look to his eyes in the pre-game interview today. It makes sense in retrospect that those were the eyes of a guy who knew he was done.

Well this is something else.

Either he rights the ship which will be great to see, or we see the true makeup of the team and they fail hard.

Either way, this a a necessary move to force this team in a direction..any direction.

I was in the Dome at the game where it was in.

I was excited for this team when we picked up Markstrom and then I remember Ward was still the coach and knew the season was lost... Now I am over the moon! Even better is that it’s 3 years... The team can’t kill this coach, they better pull their socks up! Players would go through walls for this guy and he’s respected... that’s what this team has needed for the longest time. Props to Tre if he did this... Season starts now!

One thing with Sutter is how has progressively won more in the playoffs throughout his career:

Chicago: 42.3%
San Jose: 42.9%
Calgary: 54.5%
LA: 60.9%

It's been almost 30 years since Sutter first started head coaching in Chicago.
The league has change a lot throughout the years. Sutter has adjusted his style many times.
