Agree. That’s what I mean about him needing to slow the game down in his head. Gotta play smart. Not just hard.

One thing I hate about Ward is how he puts the fourth line out after a TV timeout.

I have to agree. He one manned it a little too much. I’m told he isn’t used to line mates though.

When exactly do people want him to use the 4th line? Not after a powerplay, not after a goal, not after a goal against, not in the third, now not after a tv timeout?

Very little offensive flair, but he moves the puck well and is ridiculously steady defensively. I think his time in the KHL did wonders in refining his game. My favorite free agent addition after Markstrom and Tanev, and all the others after aren't particularly close.

Baby steps, he needs time to get to know that line and their tendencies.

To be fair JG was going back door and just couldn’t quite get his stick on an open tap in

Yeah, most centres have a tendency to be in the slot when a line mate has the puck behind the net. Sam needs to look around.

Did anyone else on the team finish that first period? Thought so!

Spending as much time as you do, trying to put down every single positive post about Bennett, must be ####ing exhausting.
We know you hate him. Take the occasional shift off. Have a beer or something.

It's very easy to say what plays a guy should make. I want guys to be decisive and not get closed down. WPG is back in a 1-2-2 so they have numbers back. Drive the net and if you don't score hopefully teammates can get to rebounds.
Just play fast and play hard. Keep going Bennett - looking good to me!

Bianca got stomped by a 35 year old 90lbs Taipei lady at the Aussie today. She better not be Bouchard 2.0.

I'm sure when he sees that play in a future video session, he'll adjust.
Assuming the coaches still do video with the players in this covid year...?

Is this the first time he's been on the ice with these guys? Hasn't he been here for a few years now? I would think he would have picked something up about these guys having been around them for five years? Maybe my expectations are a little high for a professional athlete.

Perfect for Valimaki, really. Andersson would be a bit more of an adventure because he likes to rush and pinch a lot more.
