This ain't over yet. No victory lap until the state is declared. Trump is slowly making a dent in the lead in Georgia. Pennsylvania isn't growing like some have suggested. Nevada just put another 40,000 ballots into the pool. Arizona is still out there. This isn't over.

New numbers in Georgia - 4263 is now the lead for Biden. That's outstanding news, that's well out of recount range.

It would make sense if those votes are from Gwinnett. EDIT: CNN just confirmed it is indeed Gwinnett.

The weird thing is that it's over 7000 ballots that just got reported that went 69% for Biden, when they said there were only 4800 left to count there. Not sure what the deal is there.

I am beginning to wonder about the quality of the electoral staff down there. How long can it possibly take to fill out enough ballots for Biden to win?

Pennsylvania isn't growing because they haven't released anything really. The fact remains, there are over 100K ballots still to add to the totals and nearly all of them are in places where Biden is getting 80-90% of the mail-in votes.

GA recount is .5%, so ~25,000 votes. Still well within range.

The ship has completely sailed on a recount, that is happening as a certainty. The question is whether or not they can get all the outstanding mail in ballots counted and report the number of overseas and military ballots that have been received. If that number is small enough, they may be able to call Georgia for Biden.

Edit: I see now what you meant - when I said out of recount range, I meant out of the range where a recount could be expected to possibly change the result.

This has been an emotional roller coaster. I cannot believe the stupidity, and gullibility of the Trump base the last 4 years. I was worried, democracy as we knew it, was gone. I think this election will show all of us, that patience truly is a virtue. It's also looking like running a wise old grampa, that wouldn't take Trumps bait, was a very savvy move by the Dems. Will he get anything done in office? probably not. But that's not what they need in America right now. They need a frikking break from all the chaos, divisiveness and lies. So many lies.

America needs to heal, and need someone stable that will just send everyone to their rooms to take a timeout, and hopefully usher and mentor in a leader that can carry the torch, and rebuild from the damage Trump did. I believe Biden is that guy, and I believe decades and even centuries down the road, should we still be here, Biden will be viewed as a guy that saved America from a very ugly era.

Normally I identify as more conservative, the Trump presidency changed it all for me, and has definitely moved me a lot farther to the left.

I have barely slept in 4 nights, and for the first time in almost a week, I am almost feeling hope. This video, and silly as it is, finally made me smile.

I finally have faith, that this will end well.

All I have to say that this thread is an example of why this forum is one of my favourite places on the net. It is hard to find a place like CalgaryPuck.

Hold up. You took that as an argument and not the tongue-in-cheek repurposing of the old capitalist adage "you have to spend money to make money" that it was?

No wonder Trumpists are so easily convinced of stupid sh-t, you don't know when to take people seriously or literally.
