So far Heiskanen has been the best player for either team by a mile. Having Tkachuk out sucks, but the real problem is that the rest of the Flames' top players have either disappeared or gotten flat out dominated 5v5.
Even if they somehow win this series, there's no way you can look at yet another postseason no-show from the big guns and keep this core together for next year. It's become a very troubling pattern.

Exactly, Dallas is a great team
Going on a run like last year is great experience, and a year of growing for Heiskanen has been huge
They also added Perry and Pavelski who bring a ton of experience and skill even in their later years

Pretty amazing they took the cup champs to game 7 OT last year and are the 3rd seed.
Should Dallas advance they will give anyone a run for their money
Not to excuse the Flames but I am giving the opponent some credit here

Flames are a period away, tied in the game, from taking a 3-2 series lead. Again, most of us would take that a week ago. Fire drill through the neutral zone, sure, but creating more up front then last game.
Let's enjoy this. There are months for bitching after the fact.
