I agree with Cassie, I would move lindholm to centre the third line and move Sam up.

That top line of Lindholm, Monahan and Gaudreau is obviously missing one key thing:

purple gatorade.

Yup, he looks real off. Monahan at least looks like he is trying.

Agreed effort was there, but the guy can’t score without his stick. Gotta tie it up, even if it results in a would-be BS hooking penalty.

But Dubes doing a lot more good than bad, and as a young guy he gets some leeway.

We tied it with 46 seconds left and yet the last 45 showed us where we are.

No matter what happens with the rest of this series (and other rounds???) I am now fully on the Trade Johnny team. He is a one dimensional player and when he is not hitting on that dimension, which is far too much of the time over the past 15 months, he is useless.

Flames No.1 line is hopeless and can't have more than one player shows up.

What? That was a sick individual effort. Not his fault that his teammates decided to play like absolute trash today, but that goal was completely deserved for him.

If I was a Dallas fan I be inversely irate. Dominating the play but can’t hit net.

Flames could be up 3-1 easy too. I think both teams deserve each other right now.

Ya, Cassie might be right here, get Lindholm off that top line but do not get Bennett off that line with Lucic and Dube, that would be a mistake IMO. They are by far the most dangerous line we have.

Maybe instead move someone else up who can skate and be fiesty, hell even if it is Backlund or something, get him up there. Put Lindholm on the "2nd" line as the center. I don't know at this point but if they don't make any adjustments, this team will struggle to reach 20 shots this game, let alone enough goals to win against a Dallas team who is flying right now.

Still waiting on Gaudreau, Monahan and Lindholm to literally do anything during even strength play. They are actual trash as a line in the playoffs and it is baffling that they are still together. They're all just PP specialists.

Promote Ryan, put lines 1 and 2 in a blender.

Gaudreau - Backlund - Ryan
Mangiapane - Monahan - Lindholm

Or if you really want to mix it up:

Gaudreau - Bennett - Dube
Mangiapane - Monahan - Lindholm
Lucic - Backlund - Ryan

He talked about shaving the beard on last week’s 31 Thoughts podcast (which, IMO, was one of the best hockey podcast episodes I’ve ever listened to). Shaved it as a fundraiser, raised over $13, 000.

I was going to be happy enough to go into the intermission down one, so to go into it tied, I'm thrilled

I've liked how Monahan has been playing so far. Also at least Johnny is bringing a little grit and so far hasn't lost the puck after each zone entry instantly

Well if they win this round I bet he doesn’t. Maybe wait till the flames are eliminated to get on the trade Johnny train.

Gaudreau has looked OK. Monahan has been trying but is forcing things that aren't there. I've only noticed Lindholm when he's made a mistake.

Its funny how Gaudreau created a scoring chance just by going for a skate on the power play rather than holding on too long and just ripping a slapshot that misses and goes out of the zone.

Who'd a thunk it.
