Man, Stars have been dominating the Flames in shots and chances this series. Those advance stats showing that Flames are worse than against Avs is really telling. Difference being that Stars aren't as explosive as Avs, otherwise this series would likely be over in 5.

Not having Tkachuk hurts. Even though he was not scoring. Still makes things happen.

Much better 2nd. All struggling players found new life with new linemates. Games opened up without game management by the refs. Good pace, caters to the Flames IMO.
Still not seeing much from Gio save maybe a couple of savvy defensive plays. But those plays happened because he couldn't get to pucks fast enough.
Here's to the defining 3rd period. I feel like the Flames can take this game.

Only caught the last 7 minutes of the 2nd. Seems like the Flames are getting outclassed in all aspects again.
Still, 20 minutes is enough time to steal a game.

Flames are still emotionally a little immature out there.
They need momentum again to feel good about themselves. They have to generate some spark to get their confidence back.
Lucic fight, Monahan goal, something... Something other than a 10-bell Talbot save... he's done so many of those no one even reacts.

Jankowski has not shown anything to lead me to believe he's better then Rinaldo on the 4th line. The fact Rinaldo is in the right place for shooting opportunities is a lot more then Jankowski showed all season.

Signs of life.
Maybe the nap time start slowed them down. Would be nice to win the series to not have to think about broken sticks, and blown last minute leads for the next several months.
