The thugs shooting cops and running them over with cars despicable

The escalation is coming, we saw Korean Shop owners guarding their stores with guns during the LA Riots when the rioters turned their attention on their neighborhoods.

We're going to see an escalation fairly soon that's going to spiral.

I assume those comments from above about bad apples and orchards also apply to protesters. Lot's of filming with their cameras, but not a lot of action.

I liked the pause, and I thought it was a good answer by Trudeau, not sure what he can say beyond that.

Just saw a clip of huge baskets of rocks being dropped off at Ventura Blvd for tonight. I'm beginning to think this might be a setup by the old orange one to provoke unrest and Martial Law so that elections can't take place in November.

I saw a hopeful comment on reddit:
As a German I know that if the president is hiding in a bunker, the war will soon be over.
Maybe things get better soon? Here's hoping.

I honestly dont think we want to know the answer to that.

There looks to be 10's of thousands on the streets of Hollywood right now, and i see no way it doesn't take a very dark turn if they try and arrest them.

Curfew starts in 15 minutes apparently.

I don't even know what steps could be taken immediately to begin to de-escalate. Charge the other officers? It's just so far gone.

I've seen more than enough video where its some authoroties place brick piles in strategic places.
Theyre fuelling the rioting. Yet another sign of using an outdated playbook by the system. The governments not the only ones with eyes everywhere now, the people have eyes too.

Spamming the blank posts with #blacklivesmatter is just clogging up relevant and helpful messages. It’s pushing down important content.

You want dark.

Put true martial law in

The army won't be given orders to enforce the law.

The basic orders will be restore order clear the streets and end the rioting period.

You can't use the justice system to arbitrarily charge people just to make the public feel good. That's Chinese level stuff.

Yeah, you expect the Trump Administration to make up laws and punishments out of thin air? Get real!

I watch his briefings everyday. Not his biggest fan, but it's hard to downplay the leadership he has shown the entire pandemic and the good quality information he relays. In fact not a day goes by when I'm not thankful it's Trudeau at the helm and not someone like Sheer, as god knows what might be popping out of his mouth during those briefings.

Today was a tough one for JT. He had to have known that those questions would be asked. But the silence was most definitely deafening. He even groaned out loud before he spoke, knowing full well the very words that come out of his mouth next might affect the country he governs.

He is stuck between a hard place and a rock at the moment. I think most of the country would have his back if he spoke freely about Trump as most of us do. But he also knows he's dealing with a narcissistic sociopath who he has to interact with regularly and what he says, unfortunately, can set him off and affect Canadians negatively.

I just hope people don't turn on him and call him a coward for how he reacted. I would love nothing more then for him to call Trump exactly what he is. Unfortunately that might set the wheels in motion to further hurt our economy in god knows what way. Yes, that's the administration he's dealing with; one that will gladly use economic action to hurt those who speak out against them.
