Like how you respected the game by pouting in the corner and stealing $5.75M from an NHL team last year?

The Oilers are the biggest babies out there, my goodness. I'm pretty happy we have Lucic and Rinaldo on the team going into the next BoA.

"He did it three times" - yes, he legally checked Kassian 3 times. That difficult to swallow? Good grief you loser. I've never seen so much complaining about clean body checks.

It does shine a light on how many in the business make exceptions to their "rules" when it involves this team (and a guy on it whose simply really good at being an agitator).

If they're really impartial professionals then Tkachuk shouldn't be painted as a villain in this situation for laying a few solid hits. But he is, and that's pretty revealing of where these people's allegiances lie.

I don't know how much of it is dislike for the Flames or closet Oiler fandom. It's probably some of each and a mix of both. Maybe a few that simply dont like Tkachuk and that's as far as it goes.

It's just laughable that these big goons can run around like complete animals 99% of the time and not care in the least who they injure (Kassian, Reeves etc and yes, even Lucic) and rarely face any backlash for their antics.

The second someone turns up the heat on them it becomes a matter of respect? Sorry, doesn't work that way. At least with Reeves, Lucic, they are smart enough to bide their time and not have a complete meltdown like Kassian did. Would the 'expert' and ex-player narrative change had Kassian put Tkachuk on the IR with this senseless mugging of a player? Which certainly could have easily been the result.

Lol their own coach said the hits were clean and yet they're happily lining up a list of people (none of whom are impressive) who are chirping tkachuk as a dirty player? These guys are the masters of projection lol

I hope they remember how much of a heart and soul player he is after another of his frequent cheap shots. Or when Lucic tears off his face, shows it to him and then staples it back on upside down.

The Lucic trade looks better and better as time passes.

Kassian reminds me of that kid who would spazz after getting hit with a ball during a game of gym class dodge ball.

Of course he is. I'm actually really really disgusted that all of these players are standing on the side of Kassian who has served several suspensions for really dirty intent to him plays, and they are standing on the side of a player that attacked a vulnerable player.

Its gross. The mind set being displayed is somewhat baffling.

Edmonton's trying to psych themselves up for a brawl in the next game it seems. Good if it keep their mind off playing a hockey game.

Plus if they want to get into it like that our fighters are way better then their fighters, and Rinaldo can be a genuine psycho too.

It's as if all of the people paid by the person in charge of the Oilers have the same opinion today. Just another proof that the ineptitude that has driven that franchise into the dirt for the last 20 years is still in absolute control up here in the north.

The Oilers are serious contenders to the Cleveland browns as most inept pro sports franchises of all time.

With the way Edmonton media is treating this, I’m curious if it’s a tactic they are going with to deflect attention away from the loss of their biggest game in 3 years. It does always seem Spector and mathiesen have a playbook that have to follow...
