I just hope tonight's performance is good enough that there are no trade proposals in the PGT

They lose this series and there will be changes. A major piece will be moved.

Johnny needs to stop playing Gulutzan hockey.
The way the boys are slowly plodding up ice, then crossing blue line and firing awful low % shots is so eerily similar to the past two years.
Play tougher. If marner can block shots with his face why the hell can''t johnny play through a couple slashes and get to the tough areas.

Monahan will be fine so long as both he and Gaudreau figure out how to make better use of one another, and also how to utilize the space that Lindholm can create on the same line—just as they did in the first half of the season. Monahan needs to carry and shoot the puck more frequently, and one of the reasons he has not been doing enough of it is that Gaudreau has been trying to do too much by himself. It makes Gaudreau easy to shutdown when he is the only player the other team needs to focus upon.

I am not convinced that is always the correct response. There is a tonne of momentum and good fortune that contributes to playoff success, and with such a young, untested group I would be reluctant to conclude from one or two seasons that the core makeup is the problem.
Even when a team disappoints sometimes the best thing to do is to stay the course.

This. See the 2018 Stanley Cup champions for a good example of what can happen if you stick with your core after disappointing play-off performances.

I'm not saying the Flames shouldn't make trades. What I'm saying is if there are trade proposals in the PGT, it probably means the team played like ####.
