Ugh I can’t believe this game is 4-1. Every single chance or half chance has gone in for Coloarado it feels like.

I like Troy Brouwer more than I like Mike Smith.

Can you imagine if the Flames got to shoot against Smith instead of Varlamov, Hutton, Andersen

It's nice that we're back to just wanting to have not the worst goalie in the league again.

As high a danger chance as you're going to get in this league, especially when you leave a guy open in the slot for that pass.

Oh, we're on the same page with defence. I'm not excusing that one bit.
I'm seeing the lazy synchronized swimmer lazily roll from one side to the other, while the other goalie is coming off a great 1st. I don't think that goal goes in on Rittich or Varlamov. But watch that goal again and tell me that is the reflexes, positioning and effort you think will get us far in this league.
The D needs to be squeaky clean in front of Smith, but we need a goalie that can help a lot more than he does.
Maybe this is Peters' plan? Keep playing Smith until the D gaffs stop. Like learning to walk tightrope over hungry gators.

Even 1-1.
It’s tough to imagine right now but Smith could make a big save every once in a while too.
Only one that was truly unsaveable was the weird 2-1 from the bad read by Hamonic.

My point was Peters is ultimately responsible for the power play debacle.
Agree with Scorpion, fire Ward.

What are the players supposed to execute exactly?
The whole PP setup is to fire wristers through traffic for fluke goals and deflections or to try to thread the needle laterally for more wristers. Even when we do "score" - like Lindholm's PP goal against Phoenix Copley, they're not goals that would go in on typical starting goalies, they're goals that feed a bad PP setup.
The PP is fundamentally broken and the team has little interest in the sweeping changes needed.

Oh good Smith still in. Avs are happy, they should be able to pump at least 3 more by him in the third. Shoot from everywhere.
Flames PP to start the third, so the Avs should get a couple good chances right away.
