Getting kicked in the nuts repeatedly really sucks. Why let Smith continue to do it to the Flames?

Powerplay is a bigger issue than Smith. It’s just horrible.

This team simply can't find a way to separate itself from the other bubble teams. Feels like another year where we'll float around .500.

I blame Smith on that one as well. He was down on the post and had no chance to get over to even attempt a save. He had no idea Wilson was coming in to get the pass.

Because he knew his weak first goal deflated the balloon, and resistance is futile.

Not gonna blame Smith for that but you can see that his weeeeeaaaakkkk goal followed by countless bad rebounds has deflated the team. Need a goalie, no question

Can't blame that one on Smith. Flames' D coverage was non-existent on that play. Smith had no chance.

Good lord, that goal wasn't on Smith. That was some next level failure backchecking and defense.
As high a danger chance as you're going to get in this league, especially when you leave a guy open in the slot for that pass.

Please explain to me how the 2nd and 3rd goals were Smith's fault.
1st one.............terrible. The last 2.......not his fault.

Hamonic misread the lob. But he did manage to force the player wide enough where Smith had that side covered. Hanifin shouldn't have move to the puck carrier like that - he needed to stay with his man.

Flames have made one mistake all night, and it was that 3rd goal and it’s in our net.
Flames have forced the Avs to make several mistakes, and Varlamov has bailed them out countless times.
Smith isn’t a starting goalie on a playoff team.

I get that was on the D but Smith could've at least pushed off his post...
He is awful
I don't care how bad the D is, I guarantee that Rittich makes more than 8 saves on 11 shots...
