The Oilers were busted doing this on HF so it wouldn't be a shocker if teams resorted to doing this kind of stuff. I can't remember an organization in such shambles like this. All the news continues to be bad news.

And what does "pill popping" even mean? My wife popped diclectin.  I think the suspect tweet talked about pain pills, but acetaminophen is OK (anti-inflammatories are not and obviously not opiods).

One has made a sworn statement to a justice of the peace and has public support from other player's wives.

Saying "these are just allegations and nobody should rush to judgment" would be a fair statement to make if you hadn't already pulled a "both sides" argument by suggesting the pill popping comment was anything but defamatory.

If I'm going to legit accuse someone of "pill popping" out of some real concern I think I'd attach my name to my message.
Even then it'd be crass given the timing. Do we routinely say to the spouse of someone who died of lung cancer "well, if he hadn't smoked he'd be alive" at the funeral?
