I'd rather have someone who asks actual interesting questions (sometimes hard questions) rather then inviting the subjects to give the same generic answer you've heard a 1000+ times in the past or brown-nosing in the form of a question.
I cringe whenever Millions is on the screen. The prospect of not having to cringe through intermission and the pre-game show is appealing to me.
If this means he's off sports coverage for good that's a win for all of us.

Yes, like Airdrie (and rural surrounding Airdrie).
The new Aridrie Ridings confuse me, tbqh. Depending on how the city itself is divided, They seem to have taken a single urban riding and split it into two that are 3:2 urban-rural splits. On the one hand, I would argue this was done by the NDP to minimize the power of a vote in rural areas north of Calgary. But, on the other, Airdrie itself has been safely Conservative for decades. It's one area where I think Notley and co will come to realize that their high vote count in 2015 was protest rather than change in the attitude of the population.
He's up against a incumbent as well, one whom the party leadership bestowed with a prominent caucus role.
One of the things the NDs did was to create a process whereby would-be candidates can register directly with Elections Alberta before being properly vetted by the parties themselves. A cynic would say the government did this in the hopes there'd be a few opposition party "bozo eruptions."
She is extremely annoying. I've had a few face to face conversations with her and she does NOT listen, at all. She's too busy crowing about what a badass she is, and how she this and how she that, and that she's happy to be a big mouth challenger to the NDP. Had no answer when I said I thought her job as our MLA was to work FOR us, not just sit and be a turd in the punch bowl.

It's changing though. Not everyone here went PC and there are some who won't go back to PC/UCP. It's changing, slowly, but it's changing.

That might be the most apt description of Gene Principe that I've ever heard.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.

Is their a non-political body that draws the lines? I didn't think the NDP (or any other government in power) had any say over this.
Apparently once he outed himself as a conservative.
Not everything is about that. We needn't spend the time feeling sorry for conservatives.
I didn't like him immediately. His play by play was excruciating. So much so that I saw Rob Kerr and loubo as massive improvements.
Then he got demoted to screen reader. Yes, I suppose he reads the screen alright, but I would think to actually be good at that job, you would need some kind of charisma. His interactions on the panel seem awkward to me and now that they have them sitting on stools... Well, I don't think he's very good at that either.
However, to Roger's credit, he is not gene Principe, so that is good. So long as he remains not gene Principe, I can live with it.
Where did the sentiment that Millions is bad at his job come from?
... from Millions being bad at his job?
FYI: Not a new opinion from me...

CP account. Go read calf’s post again. That’s not a spelling mistake...
But is that really him? One post seems to reference the poster working for a newspaper. Reads more like Francis than Millions.
francis is scooter
bettman is roger millions
