Am I remembering wrong or is he one of those media types that gets into a lot of petty twitter fights ala Spector?

I guess all you need to run for office these days is a bit of name recognition and a controversial twitter feed.

It is a good career move though. Instead of hanging on with Sportsnet while they cut budgets, he can ride the blue wave to an easy back bench role and snag a nice pension one day.

Well if he replicates his Sportsnet form, Alberta is about to get another lacklustre backbencher.

I would just say that his potential political career would be separate from his current career so it'll have to be judged on its own merits rather than preconceived notions and ideas.

Can we judge it on the basis that he pretty consistently praises Donald Trump on twitter?

I dont tweet nor do I understand the Trump love but if he does that then that is his personal life and as far as politicians go that seems like fair game.

Airdrie-East nomination contest is a bit of a Tire Fire right now.

http://edmontonjournal.com/news/poli...6k-pac-payment

He's up against a incumbent as well, one whom the party leadership bestowed with a prominent caucus role.

One of the things the NDs did was to create a process whereby would-be candidates can register directly with Elections Alberta before being properly vetted by the parties themselves. A cynic would say the government did this in the hopes there'd be a few opposition party "bozo eruptions."

It's no longer his personal life once he runs for politics because that praise of Trump shows very much what he'd likely support from a policy position.

Aside from his sports takes, his twitter feed is an endless stream of Jason Kenney re-tweets.

You call it 'Bland Bootlicking Toady' I call it 'Professional.'

You would rather have a clown like the Oilers?
