Shoutout to Todd Button, has been killing it with drafts lately. Great progression from Mangiapane and 3 years after being a 6th round pick he's in the NHL, great job by him.

I don't know. They've already done it for 3 games as it is.

For what it's worth, they all looked better with each other than Brouwer & Stajan looked without Jagr. And Jagr looked worse in the previous game playing on line 2.

I always like the headlines with this particular Flames team. When the 'Flames recall...' someone, I always imagine Burke waking up from a slumber, shaking his head, and his eyes suddenly coming into focus.

Funny. I remember the days when the red wings & the devils would call up players who were in the early to mid 20's and they could just step in and contribute. Flames fans would ask 'why don't we have that?'

It now seems like we do have that luxury where we can overcook guys in the minors so when they do come up, they're ready.

I don't think many (if any) were expecting a "meteoric rise".

But any expectations we did have were given a bump up when the GM himself dealt away our higher end draft picks proclaiming his own belief that this roster was capable of much more than being bottom half of the league standings by the new year.

He's not wrong.... You seem overly sensitive about the complaining going on.

There's only 2 teams in the entire conference with less ROWs than thus flames team. This isn't just a function of inflated expectations.
