Tough loss to swallow. Jagr needed to dump the puck if the next line up wasn't Backlund or Gaudreau line and Gulutzan needed to send Backlund or Gaudreau line. That was the game and it all came down to the 4th line being out on the ice at the wrong time.

It's because it's 3 v 5 when they are out there on the ice. You NEED your defensemen to join the cycle. It's the same reason the Canucks started to decline when Vigneault left and was replaced by Friends of Gulutzan. If your defensemen aren't part of the cycle, there's no confusion. When's the last time a defenseman had a scoring chance with the Bennett-Jankowski-Jagr line out there? Now imagine the chaos you would get if a defenseman had a scoring chance. That's where goals come from. Goalies can stop point blank shots in the NHL if they can track the puck.

It was said in the GT, but it's NHL game management.

Can't possibly give the team ahead a late PP.

That was brutal. Dallas got away with a lot all night but that was so obvious

Win in Colorado(they played today as well) tomorrow, and have 7 points to show for the 6 game roadie. Things could be a lot worse.

It's a long season folks. Bad games are going to happen. Bad runs are going to happen. This won't be the last time.

This is still a good team with a good goalie and elite first line right now. Breathe. Just breathe.

Both Hamiltons to Buffalo for Kane and their first round. Boom. Complete.

It's kinda hard to keep goals out of the net when the D in front of you cough up the puck, and Versteeg stands around with his bologna in his hands while pucks float by.

That game could have been 8 or 9 to 4 without Smith.

This is the problem. The coaching staff had the inability to make adjustments. They have hard and fast rules and don't seem to deviate from the systems in any way.

We won't do any damage in the playoffs with this coach.

I really hope Mike Smith stays very far from this line of thinking and keeps worrying about himself.

Kulak gets a pass from me though, that's a rookie mistake.

Hamilton, Brodie and Hamonic should be really pissed at themselves.

A good team minus the D. 1/4 season is gone, and the same D mistakes. Unforgivable

our highly offensive D group that generates very little offense and next no defense.

I can't in good conscious let Rittich go in net behind this group.

Everytime I think they are turning a corner....

Treliving better not get too attached to this d he's put together and be willing to trade away one of Hamilton, Brodie, hamonic this offseason.

Or he could trust his personnel decisions and get a new coach.

In any case, this team ain't winning much with the product on the ice.
