As much as it is iffy. I think E Kane could be a target. He has been effective this year. Would you guys do something like Kylington/Andersson, 2nd, Bouma for Kane? too much, too little?

Because Simmonds' play gives me a boner. Although I can't see Treliving wanting to give up the assets for that. As much as I hate to say it, E. Kane does make a bit of sense

Simmonds is one of very few players I would move Bennett for.

If everything possible goes right for Calgary, Simmonds is who Bennett turns into.

I would 100% do that trade without even really thinking about it. He's 16th in the league in goals right now after scoring 32 last year, and he's a fierce, fiery competitor. Signed for 2 more years at less than 4 million?

The problem is that after those 2 years he's UFA, and he'll probably get a HUGE contract. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for Wayne Simmonds to be a Flame, but not at the cost of Bennett.

I hope we get Eaves, he's from Calgary, having a great year and is a shooter on the right side that could move up and down the line-up nicely but I think would easily ride shotgun with Monahan/Gaudreau.

Maybe Versteeg + Bouma + 4th for Eaves?

Gives them a roster player in Bouma for next year, option on Versteeg who can still help them down the stretch and a mid pick.
