I think it is just more humor than anything else. Weiner obviously didn't intend to tell the world.
it's crazy how the news gets a headline and just runs with it.
Studies show that the first thing a person hears on an issue leaves a lasting impression, even if that something is later corrected. And this is going to be a classic example. The original AP Mobile alert said that the FBI would investigate new emails "found in probe of Clinton's private server." The AP did not send out a corrective notification, just one saying that the new emails were found in the sexting investigation of Weiner.

Once again, blown away by the cognitive dissonance. The fact that an investigation has been re-opened two weeks before the election, and 3 months after it was definitely closed is a sign that this is pretty serious.
