Maybe the city can also deliver low dose vaccinations through the water supply.

I for one hope so! I'm getting tired of this 'using my mouth to communicate' nonsense. What are we? A bunch of non-telepathic chumps, thats what!

Why should fluoride be rammed down everyones throat because some chose to not practice their own proper dental hygene?

Because it's impossible to fluoridate yourself effectively without ingesting minuscule quantities on the daily? See my post near the top of the last page.

Because it's perfectly safe, and the added protective benefit, when combined with good dental habits, is greater than the cost.
Buy a Britta.

It's not rammed down people's throats. I know that a bureaucrat has never tried to ram a tube of flouride down my throat, nor anyone else's in my circle of friends.
You are going to some weird bars, taco.

Does the Britta take it out?

So can you explain how to effectively self-dose yourself with .0007 ml of fluoride daily?
Really tiny eyedropper?

In the old days, you could get a vial with a dropper with fluoride for free.
That's what was promised this time around too - city would pay for the fluoride drops (you can get them at any pharmacy). But this never happened because reasons.

The problem with fluoride drops/supplements is that they are exactly what crazies are (legitimately) talking about when they warn of skeletal fluorosis, as most of those things have waaaay too much fluoride than necessary.
Water supply dosages (in North America) are much lower and safer, and are still extremely effective. It's bonkers to be against it as an additive.

Meh, my two much younger siblings took them for years and nothing. Also zero ####ing cavities.
It's extremely diluted. You take like a drop a day.
Having it in the water is way better though. Most water all over the world has some fluoride in it anyhow.

Its not go dentists. Its be responsible for your own oral health by brushing and using fluoridated tooth paste.
Only if we could force poor people not to drink sugary pop and not give t to their children and drink water instead.

Yes sonny. Naturally occurring fluoride.
A metal on the periodic table of elements that exists on Earf? Hard to believe I know.

Yeah I really don't get the anti-fluoride crowd on this one. Just cuz "government/freedom"? I actually had never heard of a fluoride allergy until this thread, that part makes more sense. Is that really common though, or quite an exotic allergy?
My main issue with this is the anti crowd just assuming everyone has a solid dental plan, when really that's not the case. Hell that thread alone a couple months ago about how much you go to the dentist proved that. I was shocked at how many people said they went like 5-6 years between visits just because they didn't have proper coverage. I had the same problem too as a student, I didn't realize how common that issue was though. It may have changed, but when I graduated from the UofAlberta, they provided zero coverage to students. It wasn't even an option.
I really don't think the anti flouride crowd is considering the large amount of people without solid dental coverage, and how expensive dental is without said coverage. Why not just buy a Brita if fluoride water bothers you that much? Most seem to use that or bottled water now anyway.
