Well that would be significant. Do you have an actual link to the study?

Here is the link. Too busy to look for it before. The numbers I used were from the Herald article but a quick look through the actual paper does not show those numbers. Guess you can't trust the Herald. It does show a statistically significant increase in decay in Calgary though.

I need to find a way to get more fluoride on my pearly whites. I never had a cavity until after they took out the fluoride and now I feel like I have a couple even though I brush and take care of them exactly the same.

The Herald's numbers come from this link
https://www.ucalgary.ca/utoday/issue...uoride-removal
The study only comes to conclusions relating to primary teeth. They did observe a trend of increasing decay in permanent teeth but it was not significant at this point.

What exactly is the issue with having fluoride in the water that some people dont like (other than the choice issue) Are there any real health issues with it?
A quick google linked to some...uh...less than scientific literature.

No, it's all quackery. There's no real good way to self-administer fluoride in safe amounts, since the amount added to a municipal water supply is mandated by Health Canada at .7 PPM, or .0007ml per litre, an amount so minuscule (but effective at maintaining healthy teeth) that you would only retain 19mg total of it over a 75 year lifespan assuming you drank 2 liters a day (since half is lost in urine).
Yeah, if you ingested 30x that amount you might get skeletal fluorosis, but you would need to be one of those "My Strange Addiction" people who eat toothpaste on the regular to get to that point, or live in a ####hole country that doesn't administer fluoride correctly to it's potable water supply.
The anti-fluoridation rhetoric is fuelled by equal parts Dr. Oz-bingeing mommy bloggers, tin-foil hat-wearing conspiracy wingnuts, and libertarians, with a side of a "#### the poor" attitude. Essentially, it's all bull####.

They could allocate a few dollars out of the civil art fund for it.

But does it not affect the Pineal Gland. You know the one that unlocks your 6th sense and could one day make you telepathic ?

I'm not arguing that, it's the whole debacle was a waste of time and money. Now we are going to do it all over again.

I don't know about the whole telepathy thing with the pineal gland but I can vouch for some very VERY strange trippy (spiritual?) experiences from meditation and stuff like that, and it has me a believer.

I believe Fluoride was taken out because of a very loud minority, was it not?
I'd gladly have it.
