Oh I missed posting this beauty from the rally: Trump calls his own supporters losers, they cheer. David Koresh is wondering how he does it.

Carl Paladino, the co-chair for Donald Trump's campaign in New York, defended the Republican nominee's attacks on Khizr Khan, whose son died in Iraq in 2004, saying Khan doesn't deserve the title of a Gold Star parent because he's shown himself to be "anti-American" and may be a supporter of "the ISIS-type of attitude against America."

“We’ve got an un-indicted felon as his opponent and you’re talking about Khan, about him making a remark about this man," Paladino, a former New York gubernatorial candidate, told interviewer Connell McShane on Imus in the Morning. "All right, I don’t care if he’s a Gold Star parent. He certainly doesn’t deserve that title, OK, if he’s as anti-American as he’s illustrated in his speeches and in his discussion. I mean, if he’s a member of the Muslim Brotherhood or supporting, you know, the ISIS-type of attitude against America, there’s no reason for Donald Trump to have to honor this man.”

Romney looked DOA at this point, then he smoked Obama in the first debate and went slightly ahead in the polls. Now I don't expect Trump to deliver a great debate performance, but if Hillary bombs this race will tighten up, guaranteed.
Trump has a much bigger gap to make up than Romney ever had at this point in the race. In every single state Clinton is ahead of where Obama was at the same time with the exception of Ohio where she is tied with where he was.

This week in polling history for Romney v. Obama
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epo...bama-1171.html

Today's average http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epo...nton-5491.html

Today - Clinton up nationally by 6.3 in the last 6 polls

2012 - Obama up by 3.6 over the previous 6 polls

Florida
Clinton up 3.3
Obama up 1.0

Ohio
Clinton up 2.6
Obama up 2.6

Pennsylvania
Clinton up 9.2
Obama up by 7

Michigan
Clinton up 6.6
Obama up 4.5

Virginia
Clinton up 8.0
Obama up 1.0

North Carolina
Clinton up 2.0
Romney up 0.5

At this point its just a sideshow. I hope Trump drops out of the race on Friday afternoon the weekend before the election just for sheer comedic effect.

Oh boy Donald. Doubling down in the rigged bit

The only way they can beat it in my opinion, and I mean this 100 percent, if in certain sections of the state they cheat.”

I don't think the GOP can do anything about Trump other than pull a large chunk of the funding and put it towards other races to minimize the damage he's doing. They can't replace him without putting themselves in their own "it's rigged" quagmire. If he quits you know he won't quit quietly and he will proclaim he was forced to which brings it right back to "rigged!"

The time to do it was in the primaries where they could have coalesced around one guy not named Cruz or Trump. They didn't and now they have to write this election off. The establishment needs to wait it out and when it's a blow out wrestle control of the party back. They didn't learn anything from the Tea Party stuff and they are paying for it.

Should we start a pool for what date Trump mentions Obama's birth certificate?

Every time I hear or read a crazy quote from trump all I can think about is this quote from the Howard Stern movie Private Parts.

Researcher: The average radio listener listens for eighteen minutes. The average Howard Stern fan listens for - are you ready for this? - an hour and twenty minutes.
Pig Vomit: How can that be?
Researcher: Answer most commonly given? "I want to see what he'll say next."
Pig Vomit: Okay, fine. But what about the people who hate Stern?
Researcher: Good point. The average Stern hater listens for two and a half hours a day.
Pig Vomit: But... if they hate him, why do they listen?
Researcher: Most common answer? "I want to see what he'll say next."

I would pick tomorrow. And then I would just tweet a little birth certificate nudge at him and badda bing badda boom, win the pool. Like taking candy from baby sized hands.

The "election observers" is why the GOP needs to remove Trump. He knows he's going to lose now so it's gonna be pedal to the floor on the insanity and riling up his supporters. So in losing he's going to create a toxic, paranoid atmosphere for his supporters, and that's probably not going to end well. Of course when you register you're automatically taken to a donation page.

Unfortunately I have to agree.

Unfortunately he probably can't be directly blamed for it, as it's so rare any single act of violence can directly be explained by any one thing.

But when enough people spread enough doomsday talk and paranoia, it's pretty much inevitable that someone somewhere will snap.

HRC is a terrible candidate. Up until DJT insulted the gold star family and the conventions the race was a tie or a 2-3 HRC lead. Despite ALL the BS that Trump said during the primaries it was still close until the end of July.

Had the GOP nominated a gentlemen (or woman) without any baggage this race would be heading in the Republican's direction.

The country wants change. Next summer, the GOP base will be pondering what they just did. They are about to make Hillary the second accidental Clinton president.
