Fair enough, but you do live in Moscow.
I did say "majority" though.

Also the reality of a global economy and the U.S. being and wanting to remain at the centre of that.
I mean if you want to be at the top of your field in nearly any discipline you go to the U.S., that really means something.

APEGA is not a union and is nowhere near being a union. Their role is not to represent the members in workplace situations or negotiations.

It's partly why I'm here and not in Canada. That and my wife finds it too cold in the winter.

You're right. You did say "majority". I missed that. I might still disagree, but not fair to refer to it as a "sweeping generalization." Sorry.

Public schools used to be tuition free. You know, back when America was great?
Or was the great part women back at home raising the kids and "the blacks" had their own schools?

In reality it will be some form of free community college, not opening the doors to Stanford.

Tuition-free post secondary education for families earning <$125k/yr is a pretty damn good policy though I must say. Innovation is the only way to stay ahead and education is the foundation of that.

Not really.
I don't have the exact numbers around, but I've heard that if you were to cut the defense budget by just 10% (which is entirely feasible when you realize that they are paying for weapons and machines that are obsolete due to the military industrial complex), you could easily pay for just about everything in Bernie's platform.
I'll have to find that link again...

Engineers outside of high F make similar wages regardless of gender. Some brackets women make more.

Well, no, because then you'd suddenly have an unemployment rate skyrocket, a shrinking tax base, and a cascade effect that could kill entire towns and counties at a single blow. This is economics, it's not that simple and definitely not cut and paste.

Majority of his donations did come from people above the age of 30 though. I would agree he was a bit naive with his policies but I'd say Trump is equally naive if not worse.

They are a professional association as a union is. It's a shame that advocating for members doesn't fall in their mandate. You would think that pay equality would be something they could get behind.

Using that money to fund education alone could pay for those workers to find new and possibly better jobs. Short term economic distress is acceptable when you're spending your dollars in a wiser manner. Wasting money should never be acceptable, and there is most definitely a LOT of waste in the military budget.

But if the United States isn't spending more money on their military than the next 11 countries combined, the terrorists win!!

I don't know. Even if I was the best in my field, it'd take a substantial amount of money for me to move to the U.S.
