Whatever the response, not having the long term in mind would be extremely irresponsible. Ignoring the long term consequences of actions is exactly what tends to lead to these types of situations.

Safe to say rational thought isn't their strong suit.

Europe is a mess.

Im certain people are starting to share your opinion. Many may be afraid to share the opinion as it will immediately be labeled racist. Look at Trump.

Scary times.

Standard SOP, there. Stuff like this always makes me wonder what it'd be like if it happened here.

Imo, the thing that really confounds the issue, is that often times throughout history extremist figures have made claims under a false guise or name. They are yelling "this is for Syria" but there is a non-zero chance they are liars and are performing the actions to manipulate global affairs.

It's insanely hard to tell what is actually going on in a lot of these kinds of events. Even if the story is being told straight and those involved are telling the truth it's nearly impossible to have a full grasp of the events unless you are actually there, trying to suss it out from afar can often be an exercise in futility.

If that is true, other than the explosives themselves, the resulting stampede could have been very bad.

And Newt Gingrich argues that people inside the theatre with concealed weapons would have solved the issue. Sigh...

Today and tomorrow France will bury their dead and mourn, but they will soon seek bloody retribution and gain revenge.

France 24 is reporting that Paris taxi drivers have turned off their meters and are driving people home — or to safety — for free.

You need a crash course on what bullying actually consists of. Rube's remarks are not bullying.
