Your first two sentences are correct. Your last one is not.

I thought Hudler had a bad game, as did Giordano.
Flames really needed this, hopefully it turns things around for their confidence and they go on a run here. I'm shocked they're just 4 points out.

Finally some luck! However, the defensive coverage still needs work.
Yes, Ramo let in 4 but can you really fault him in any of the goals? Maybe the Davidson blast from the point but that was a laser and he was way out to cut the angle.
When the defense/forwards are giving up wide-open cross ice passes there's really not much a goalie can do. If he saves it it would be a pretty lucky save.
The coaching staff really needs to work on the special teams - both PP and PK are horrible. No pressure on the PK...just let's the Oilers keep possession and pass around for prime scoring chances. The PP have no hustle and the zone entries have no speed with 4 guys standing at the blue line. Even when they get possession in the o-zone there's no creativity.
Hopefully this will build some confidence in the team and get our secondary scoring going.

Raymond and Bollig hardly saw any ice time either after the first period. I think it's just Hartley shortening the bench.

Jooris-Stajan-Frolik. That was a buzzing line tonight with relentless forechecking and speed. Overall, if that line sticks the Flames have some pretty solid lines. I hope the first line starts to click again like they once did during their short time in 2013-14. If the Flames could add another big body to replace Hudler on that line, talk about cycling the puck and tiring the opposition then bringing on the next wave, which includes Gaudreau+Bennett. Flames are looking good the past few games and our season is looking promising again. 11 goals in the last 3 games.

Yep. You could see his contributions right away. The man knows how to put those first passes out of the zone on the tape.
He's also one of the best in the game at carrying the puck up himself. That beyond anything has been his trademark ability. Skates the puck deep with speed and does it successfully without it getting picked off 9/10 times.
Getting pretty damn good at getting quality shots on net now, too.

TJ Brodie is just awesome and I hope his game start rubbing off on struggling Kris Russell. Our defensemen including Giordano are having a bad start and this win might be the tonic for them. Still need to get Hamilton going though. Tough start for the Flames is not helping to him having to learn the Flames system and struggling. I guess easing him up and playing the 3rd pairing will do him some good for now.
As for the game, I thought the first two periods the Flames were skating really well even though ref keeps calling the borderline penalties against them. Gaudreau got slashed in the hand and no call. Then when to the other side and an Oiler player went down and out goes the penalty. Third period I thought they went on a panic mode and start making mistakes. Bennett's line did a great job against the McJesus line all night. Karri Ramo did well I thought. Maybe I fault him with one goal but the puck hit Russell's skate and puck went to Purcell for an easy goal. Hall's goal was a tapped in while Davidson blast was not that easy to save. I heard it was 96 miles/hr. Good bounce back for him though.

They ahowed Bennet has out played McDavid in every game they have been in together. Whether on the same team or against one another and the shot against ramo was 152 Km/hr.
By all accounts Bennett > McDavid. They put it up tonight in black and white that Bennet has out played and out scored Mcdavid all throughout their junior careers. I get thatt Mcdavid has better numbers outside of facing Sam Bennet blag blah blah blah.... But dose it not tell more of a story that when head to head Bennet outplays Mcdavid ?
Any game Sam has faced Connor in he has outplayed and out scored? The hype about Bennet stopped after he couldn't do a pullup and because he missed most of last year.
