Ya that was pretty bad. He assumed the runner would hold at 3, and he assumed wrong.

Can blame Goins for maybe being in wrong spot as cutoff man. If he was shaded to second, Bautista hits him instead of the one bounce to Tulo.

Given Bautista hustled to it and then momentum turned right away, no way his throw could've gone towards first base.

I'd like to see the pitch tracker for Navarro's strike 2 call, as well. I think he got screwed nearly as hard as Revere. Davis is untouchable if he's getting those calls. Heck, most pitchers are untouchable with those calls, let alone one of the best relievers around.

All the little things but at the end of the day they didn't get the clutch hits (Bautista excepted)

Even the Ranger fans I have on my facebook think that was an unacceptable strike zone on Revere.

Disappointed of course but not mad. That was just such a fantastic season and really, if we're going to lose - at least we made a friggin game of it.

No matter what, nobody can take away the bat-flip.

Will go down as one of the single greatest sports memories of my life.

Thank-you Jays

That home run call was complete garbage. The MLB saying there wasn't anything definitive is crazy. If a fan interferes with the path of the ball before it even has a chance to hit the wall I don't really know what is more definitive. The guys body was half way over the fence to catch that ball, and that interview was agonizing.

What joke.

This just shows how much baseball its about luck. The worst teams in the league still win 35% of their games.

If you look at the BA over the series, Jays and Royals are virtually the same. Royals just bunched their hits better.

Frustrating the way it ended though.

That Revere strike call changed the whole game, still furious at that but all in all this was a season for the ages for the Jays and it gave us the Bautista bat flip.

It'll be an interesting off season now for the Jays, they certainly have to rebuild the bullpen but it all depends on how much Rogers opens up their pockets to let AA pursue the players he wants.

Goins is lining up with home plate because that's where the play needed to go. If Bautista hits Goins, Cain has to stop at third and there is still a play at second.

I agree the Jays were jobbed by some bad judgement calls.

Not true. Martins hit was clutch in 9th. As were the ones to get on base for Batusita for his 3 run blast.
Jays had great at bats too, and had two more going in 9th when a questionable strike to Navarro turned the count around, and the inexcusable Revere call.

No matter how happy they might be, in the morning these people still wake up and live in Kansas and or Missouri.

For that, we should all feel pity for them.

Cain was going no matter what. In theory yes Goins was in right place. My point is that the way Bautista hustled and then used his momentum as he spins and threw, i dnt think he wouldve had as hard or as accurate a throw if he had to spin around thst much further to throw to first base.

For me it's the Josh Donaldson walkoff homerun in the last home game of the season for the sole reason that I was there. Amazing season. I hope we pull off a Kansas City Royals and go on a tear thru the regular season next year. Playoff baseball is AMAZING!

What was their average with RISP?
