In 2004 we fell back in love with this team due to their work ethic and their determination and never say die attitude. We had a set of hero's back then in Iggy and Kipper and Conroy. When the Flames needed a boost they got it from the loudest crowd in what could be NHL history
Stop for a second and watch that video and enjoy.
Then put it away. We've got a new team that we're in love with, and new hero's like Monahan, Johnny Hockey, Brodie, Hudler and actually all of them. We know the future is bright, but the future does start today, with a new team, a new tradition based in the old tradition. If you're going to the game tonight, wear red. Put down your cellphones, and cheer like you've never cheered before.
Welcome to the future of the NHL, Your Calgary Flames.

Such a weird mix of emotions watching that. Immediately got chills, but with a twinge of sadness the whole time.
This city has waited a long time for our team to become relevant again. We are starting that next chapter, and we have a group we can be proud of again.
Go Flames! Let's freaking do this men.
If you can beat the defending Stanley Cup Champions when their backs are against the wall, you can beat anyone. Believe that.

"I am actually more excited for the Oilers game tomorrow than the Flames game. I am praying for multiple jersey tosses. The Oilers are my new favourite team for all the wrong reasons. I hate them so much I love them."
I created this account the last time the team was in the playoffs. This is now the first time I will be seeing playoff GDTs, GTs, and PGTs since.
Flames win and clinch because what other likely outcome will occur in a season where the team has always been and always will be destined to fall by the press and critics?
Hiller can make up for that game he totally blew against the Panthers tonight...fack if we just had that win I would be relaxed right now
He also came in and shut the door vs Ottawa down 4-0 so we could come back at steal a point. That's a difficult game to play, especially in this season.

TSN take on tonite's matchup. Calling this the game of the night. Stating pressure of tonite's game won't bother the Kings and wondering if the Flames can handle it.
