This sounds like the major problem with prosecuting this case. Some of the more damning Witness statements didn't pass the sniff test.

How do you know all that? I thought the Grand Jury was all secretive.

Literally paraphrasing what the DA said on live TV in the past 10 minutes. His office presented all evidence to the grand jury so he has knowledge of what evidence was gathered and available to the grand jury.

Well as long as you are informed about what evidence was presented to the grand jury and that they came to the wrong conclusion, thereby making it a joke...would you mind sharing with the rest of us?

I have been torn on this, but the one thing I took away from that annoucement was the emphasis that the grand jury has seen more evidence on this case than anyone else in the world- and they decided not to indict.

Who is on the jury, what their vote count is and such is all secretive....the evidence presented is public domain.

Ya. The D.A. said that there were several statements that were consistent with each other, stood up to scrutiny by investigators, did not change over time when revisited and were consistent with the 3 separate autopsies. Most of those statements came from black witnesses (should that matter - just repeating what the DA said).
Those statements that didn't pass the sniff test were widely inconsistent with scientific evidence, didn't hold up to scrutiny and changed significantly over time when revisited.

You mean all the "witnesses" who were outright lying just because Wilson was either a cop or white? Those witnesses?

I got the same. They had everything the could get, and had nothing to move forward with, so had to let it go.

Not sure. I'm watching via CTV.
The D.A. said, in response to a question about why his office did not just charge the police officer that the evidence was insufficient and is either reviewed by a grand jury before charges are laid or is subject to a preliminary hearing after charges are laid. Preliminary hearings are decided by a single judge (as far as I know in Missouri and the U.S. in general).

Shaw's channel system of making you buy a $10 package to get all the news channels is dumb ... I want one or two, not 10.

There was likely lying by witnesses on either side of the truth. It's a pointless thing to argue, really. Wilson did testify... which is interesting... but the prosecutor's claim is that his testimony didn't hold much weight.
I suspect how much the jury considered Wilson's statements to BS will not be released into public domain.
