Oh and the reason I came in here in the first place...

Monday Night Football is on eight channels on my "dial" and they are all TSN. Why do they have so many channels now? What is the point of this? Same thing happened with tennis this past weekend.

Just weird. I tried to find a thread about it but couldn't. Anyone know?

TSN expanded to 5 channels about 3 weeks ago IIRC. They need that many to cover all their regional commitments in the NHL I guess. Not sure why you are getting 8 of them however.

Geez this is confusing. I thought Sportsnet was getting all the hockey. Anyway, I suppose the internet can tell me and I can stop derailing this football thread.

I actually get 10 TSN's, but I'm counting both SD and HD. Scrolling through the guide, it looks like MNF is on half the channels.

I can only speak for myself, but even though I had an idea what happened, seeing it with my own eyes just made it so much worse. It wasn't just the punch itself, but how calm and cool he was standing there after she was out and how he dragged her out of the elevator. Made it more disgusting, imo.

Doesn't surprise me at all, that place should be pretty packed. Before or after the celebration make sure you take a few minutes to check out the hallway between the rink and the gym......lots of Trail area sports memorabilia on display, lots of Smokies stuff.

Quick question...whats a realistic travel time from Cgy with whatever construction etc is going on right now....7 hours?

Obviously depends how heavy your foot is on the pedal, but it will be less than 7. Should be somewhere around 6 1/2.

This is not a good time for the pro sports leagues especially the two biggest in the United States of America. You got a racist issue in the NBA which isn't surprising at all and then the NFL is dealing with domestic abuse and drug issues.

Adam silver seems to get it while saving David stern was the worst commissioner in sports. Roger Goodell has done a pretty good job as well but if he turned a blind eye to this then he should be dismissed, considering the massive suspensions for drug use, and a slap in the wrist to a guy knocking out his fiance.

And TMZ says the NFL simply never asked for the video from the casino. TMZ did and it got the tape. So at best for Goodell here he can claim gross negligence in the investigation which, factored in with his other missteps as commish, should be enough to get him fired. But since he makes the owners money hand over fist, I doubt anything happens.

Well they still have Rivers. He's a reckless QB and has always been his own worst enemy. He was taking way too long to get balls snapped and that botched snap was all on him. He's the NFL's version of Henry Burris. Great plays followed by stupid plays. Trent Dilfer summed it up last night about him perfectly; "He makes the hard plays look easy and the easy plays look hard". Chargers will never be anything more than the playoff bubble team with him as he's careless with the ball.

Yeah, this is on her husband. I do feel bad for her though. It's probably not the best feeling to have a bunch of strangers view what was probably one of the most experiences of her life. Not to mention the fact that she has a young daughter and this is probably going to raise a lot of questions regarding how they're going to be able to support themselves financially.
