I got similar opinions of the other posters. JG was great, catching all passes, shifty dangles, scored some nice goals, he was the stand out for me. Benett didn't impress me as much as I had hoped, but I can see where his strengths possibly come from a gritty fast paced game. Hunter Smith looked better than expected for me, hard shot, and he's big. Sieloff was the best D IMO, hard shot, good passes, I was impressed.

Treliving literally sat right behind me, Conroy right beside me. Conroy said Wolf hasn't played in 3 months as there's no ice in Germany.

Quote of the day, Conroy says to Treliving, "is this a home game in Phoenix?"

Treliving responds "playoff" haha.

How amazing would it be if Sieloff just shrugged off his missed year and became a top 4 D in the next couple years? Amazing resiliency if he can start back up where he left off and be better for it in the long term.

I can't wait to watch Pat smash Yakoff all the way to the khl.

Leedahl looks decent for the walk ons
speed a plenty for all the guys today. Kanzig the only noticeably slower guy

Reminds me of Robyn Regehr and his car crash - unbelievable how fast some of these kids bounce back from injury/illness.

I've never thought of prospect camp as the best time to evaluate a player. Main camp means a lot more when injuries have had time to heal, etc.

Did people mix up Kulak and Culkin. Seems like they have mentioned with the first and the 2nd group.

Where is Tim Harrison?

Kulak and Culkin were in both groups because Mattson wasn't there. Dienes was in both as well.

Yep, Flames just posted a pic on twitter of Culkin all stitched up.

Pic behind spoiler. Not that gross but some might not like it.

Spoiler!

I agree with Fotze, you can't be definitive about anyone off just one day. With this, it's more about separating yourself from the rest of the pack and getting noticed positively. Some did, some didn't.

Bailey, Denham, Dienes Downing, Hathaway were all just there among the walk ons in group two.

Neither goalie was great, nor bad. All the walk on goalies were better than the walk on guy last year.

Harrison and Wolf were not very noticeable in the drills other than they were both quick. Neither possesses huge amounts of offensive skill, but that's also not their game.

Agostino had some determination in his game and gave good second efforts on plays.

Bennett was just okay. You can see his skill though despite him not really giving 100%.

Hickey is very quick for a D-man and makes a lot of good decisions on both sides of the puck. Also possesses a good shot. He and Kulak were very interchangeable in the drills, which is good because Kulak is good, but Hickey is 2 years younger. Lots of upside there.

Kulak and Culkin are both developing nicely. Kulak is better than Culkin and has a better shot, but they are both very close.

Eric Roy should probably be moved to forward, because he does have offensive skill. He's just a little lost defensively.

Sieloff looked almost as good as he did last year, which is good considering what has transpired.

Hunter Smith doesn't have a great shot, but he does have decent hands for a big guy. He was the biggest surprise today for me. He also has good speed and acceleration, both were slightly above average, which is somewhat shocking for someone that big.

Tolkinen, Valcourt, and Leedahl were the best of the walkons in group B. Leedahl, Fram and Zejdl are the leaders from them all. If Fram continues to be as good as he was, then you have to give him a contract. He was that good. The others are more bubbleish guys like Van Brabrant last year.

I know Sieloff has been through a lot and lost a year of development time, but I said it last year that he would have made the Flames out of camp had everything worked out.

The kid will be a top 4 NHL quality defensemen. I don't think people know exactly what we have with him.
