Group B session looks to have just started.
According to the Flames Twitter, it's a packed house.

First time jitters perhaps? Seems odd for Bennett.

See, this is why I wanted Ritchie. Pretty sure we got a huge bust at #4...

I say we trade him for a 7th before it's too late.

I like that Hickey is having a good start. Definitely curbs my disappointment of them not taking one of the American RH D.
Also nice to hear Seiloff is bouncing back after the Staph infection.

3 seasons in that league is more than fair enough IMO.

There are several problems with this.
1) Teams build for championship runs with their 19 year old core. If players can go pro after 3 years your top prospects won't get the deep playoff runs and Memorial Cup pressure. If they do it's sheltered minutes, which isn't great for their development.
2) Teams invest a lot of money in these players, having them peace out for another development league is dirty.
3) If the agreement was changed to 3 years and you can go pro, then you won't see any 16 year olds being developed in junior (unless they were a sure fire NHLer). You're hurting more players development by implimenting this rule.
4) A year as top dog dominating peers is good for development for everyone. Not only the player sent down, but their teammates and even develop pings teams and coaches having to play against them.
There's a limit on 20's (3) let those guys go pro, don't reduce the amount of 19 year olds. You'd kill the CHL.

I can't imagine the pressure of being the #4 pick and skating for the first time. Imagine how this kids life has changed in a week and now he's under the microscope for the first time.
For this reason, i think we should ask for a 6th for him.

Prob keep wolf smith and Carroll on same side as JG. They will be looking to prove themselves and we don't want to see Jonny lined up in Trollope tracks.

Hickey caught my eye, great skater.
Excited to watch Gaudreau, that kid is so talented.
Hunter Smith moved better than I thought, good pick.
David Wolf stood out in the group IMO. And so he should, he is at least 4 years older than most. But he is fast and big.
You can tell Bennett is the youngest. And drills are totally different than game scenarios. Tough to show your grittiness skating laps.
Oh, and Sieloff is awesome. Looked really good.
