Should be a good one this year. I know Poirier is out, is anyone else confirmed to not be attending?

Totally guessing here, but it just might be some of the players working out together and getting some ice-time.

I was lucky enough to be in Calgary during last years summer camp and it was awesome to see the prospects in the flesh (does that sound wierd,no,moving on). Really want to go again this year but not looking good

I would think that it would happen after the draft. I am sure we would like to have our newest players there.

Good stuff. I anticipate more than a few prospects will be spending their summer in Calgary working with Hesketh. Hanowski and a couple other did last year.

I wouldn't be surprised if Kanzig was another late cut at camp.

Seen the WinSport longer term schedule so decided to bump the thread with the Development Camp dates. No confirmation or announcement from Flames yet, so these are just the dates they have ice booked:

Friday July 4th: 9am-7pm
Saturday July 5th: 9am-4pm
Sunday July 6th: 9am-4pm
Monday July 7th: 9am-4pm
Tuesday July 8th: 9am-4pm
Wednesday July 9th: 9am-4pm
Thursday July 10th: 9am-4pm
Friday July 11th: 9am-4pm

Starts earlier this years as last year started on the 10th.

Not sure if fitness testing is on the 4th or the 3rd as they have the ice for longer on the first day. Last year fitness testing was at U of C but I would not be surprised if they did it in the new Performance Training Centre at Winsport that just opened this year.

Also all ice times are in arena b (Joan Snyder Arena). Assuming this is done for the NHL sized ice. Limited seating in this rink so it is advisable to get their early for the scrimmage days that have not been announced yet. Last year for the weekend scrimmage the stands (200ish seats) filled up fast and fans lined the rink three or four rows deep.

Can't wait for the prospects to hit the ice!

I wish I could go T.T most likely still in San Diego by that time... But excited to hear all reports and see some videos from Dev Camp

It bodes well that Kanzig seems to have a great work ethic. He's also a mountain of a man-boy. Good shout for a dark horse rookie to make the team...

Has anyone heard how Pat Sieloff is progressing? Showed so much promise at that camp last year...

Same dates I was told, for what it's worth.

Sieloff was skating with the Black Aces in Abby at the end of the year. Was said to be progressing fairly well.

For those interested, here is the WinSport schedule

http://www.winsport.ca/aboutwinsport...esbookings.cfm

You can also see the group working out in Calgary this summer has what looks like ice times most Tuesdays and Thursdays before the development camp and Mondays and Wednesdays after the camp.

I think for a few years they have made sure it would overlap with the Stampede. They take them out on the town for a night of Stampeding an attempt to get the players excited about Calgary.
