Passing: Hudler > Cammy
Shooting: Hudler < Cammy
Cammy holds on to the puck too long, causing tons and tons and turnovers...
Hudler, like CalgaryFan1988 said, gets knocked off the puck so easily.

I know they are both small, but Hudler gets knocked off the puck so easily I find it very frustrating to watch. Cammalleri plays bigger, even though he isn't.

Hmmm I have it the exact opposite. Cammalleri loses almost every board battle. Hudler for some reason manages to win many of them with his smarts. Both are easily knocked off the puck.

Funny, I usually agree with your views on things. While I agree that neither are "strong" on the puck, Hudler is by far the weakest. Neither are my favorite players, but I'd rather Cammalleri for the sole reason that he can finish. On top of that, the way Hudler always forces passes it reminds me a lot of Tanguay.
I could honestly do without either of them, but much prefer Cammalleri.
Edit - Maybe my dislike to Hudler is making me pay too close attention to all of his negatives.

Mods can PM me if needed for the source, but I have heard that the offer made to Cammalleri from the Flames was 12 million over 3 years

That would be great for us, I don't see why Cammalleri accepts that though.

If true, that sounds pretty fair, although I can see why he wants to test free agency. I'm sure someone will offer him more than that.

He could probably get 5+ for 5 years on the open market.

That's fair...to us. Cammalleri will likely get $1.5 million more a year though as a UFA.

he'll easily be getting 5 on the open market. I'm guessing he'll have issue with not only the $ but also the term. I'm guessing he'll also want something long term (ie. 5 years).
Happy with the flames offer though.

I can't imagine that would get it done.
I'd rather see them spend that money on a top 2 Centre or top 4 D-Man.
If they spend more, I would rather they throw an offer at Statsny. A bit younger, bigger, more productive. If Cammi is worth 5-6 then Statsny is worth 7-7.5, no?
Or could you get a top four D for that money instead?

15M over 3 years and they may have had a deal.

Right now he is probably headed to free agency as the best player available, someone will blow their brains out to get him and his scoring ability. Hockey is timing, and he got hot after the trade deadline and probably super elevated his value.
this is heading into last contract territory, I'm sure he would love to stay here and play out his career, but there's going to be a big gap in the numbers.

That is a solid offer from the Flames that I can easily get behind. I don't blame Cammy for hitting the market though he can probably get another year or 2 as well as a higher cap hit

Didn't Conroy confirm yesterday he's as good as gone?

There was no one heading into the playoffs that thought Cammalleri was worth a late 1st round pick.
Is he a key 5M plus building block for a team into their 5 year rebuild plan?
He played well after the deadline but he has a large body of so so work put together over the last 3 years.
12 M over 3 years sounds about right.

If he's as good as gone, wouldn't you think he would be out of Calgary by now. Today he was at Peter's press conference with Matt Stajan. Was he in attendance yesterday at the Treliving announcement?
I would prefer Cammy over Hudler personally. Seems to me that Cammy is a stand up guy and has done nothing to show that he doesn't like it in Calgary. I hope he can come to terms with the Flames and spend a few more years in Calgary. I don't blame him for testing free agency as he is in the back 9 of his career and may want to pursue a contender.

Maybe he will get close to Semin's last contract of 35 million dollars for five years. If Gaborik doesn't want to sign with LA, they perhaps might be interrested in bringing cammy back? They are pretty low-scoring, and could use some more fire-power.

I think he's expecting at least a 5x5 somewhere and I think he'll get it.
