No real story, I have just gotten the "This isn't working out!" via text twice in the last 6 months. All this talk about how strong today's women are, and yet they still pull cowardly BS like that.

Meh, I think it's courteous of them. Would you rather they text you "we need to talk" then drag you out to some restaurant or something to break up with you so you're sitting there looking like a chump? A text is way cleaner. You can bawl your eyes out if you're that kind of guy. You can go grab a beer and watch TV. You can do whatever you want without the judgement of the person that just dumped you staring at you to see your reaction.

Depends on the dynamic of the relationship, IMO. If you have a lot of text conversations (more than just 'how was your day' type stuff), a breakup over text isn't that big a deal. However if the norm is talking on the phone or face-to-face, then yeah, don't use text.

I guess it also depends on how serious the relationship is too. Anything under say a year or so a text really doesn't bug me. I'd have to side with Sliver's argument in this case.

Does it change the outcome? Are you hoping you can change her mind and that you can change your actions and she will now love you? Did you want to cry in front of her?

Whether she did it in front of you, over text, via Skype, or any other method, the end result is still the same. You feel crappy, and the relationship is still over. She might also be feeling bad. It sucks to break up with someone or deliver bad news, especially if you care about them. Maybe she was worried you'd rage or that you'd want 100 hundred reasons.

Everything ends badly, otherwise it wouldn't end. - Brian Flanagan

This is where you should go in and make an appointment with a personal banking officer at the branch.

Tell them your concern and that you are thinking of switching banks. Ask for their email. You can then email them whenever you need something done and they can send you documents over email to sign etc. A Good PBO or bank manager will make your life a bunch easier.

If you've gotten a break up text twice in 6 months, the relationships likely aren't serious enough to require a face to face break up.

I mean the first relationship could have been long, but the second one could be like 3-4 months tops.

Rhyming "together-forever" in every second pop song RGMG. I have a feeling there is some conspiracy quota on how many times these two words have to be used every day on all radio stations.

I am with RBC for daily banking and RBC DI for investments. A transfer from a RBC account to a RBC DI TFSA account is instantaneously. At least during business hours.
