Thanks Cavalera. You really get a lot of watch for the dollar with the OM and I'm really enjoying it. The only thing I would change would be the crystal. It's a slightly convex Hardlex material and quite reflective. A sapphire crystal with AR coatings would be great.

Currently wearing Burberry
I really like it. Hard to see, but the detail on the face is really classy and modern. I've already had a LOT of compliments from women on it...which drives my wife crazy.
better picture

I like this a lot. Looks like it can be picked up for ~500 CDN online.
EDIT: I notice a lot of sites list that particular model (THE CITY BU9022) as a Women's watch. Does it come with 2 different face sizes? Or is it just considered a unisex dealie like a lot of Burberry stuff?

I believe it's unisex, but yes there are definitely smaller faces that are probably for women. Buy wisely. There are other colours too that might be more to your liking.

Not to be a dick Cali, but the reason you get a lot of compliments from women about that watch is because they want to wear it. That strap is pretty feminine.

fyp.
I don't need to compensate for anything by putting a giant ugly hunk of metal on my arm that looks like part of an Iron Man costume.

Also not to be a dick, but my girlfriend wants a Burberry watch so I've been looking at them a lot & I'm pretty sure you bought a women's watch.
I was at the Burberry store a couple days ago and pretty sure I looked at the same one in the women's section.
Not like it really matters with a watch, but the mens Burberrys have a much darker strap if I'm not mistaken.

Oy...
Not that I feel like I have to justify myself, but here is a link to Macy's webpage where that very watch is listed as a men's watch.
http://www1.macys.com/shop/jewelry-w...berry?id=26217
On the Burberry site the exact same watch in a darker grey is listed in both the men's and women's section.
http://us.burberry.com/store/watches...m-chronograph/
http://us.burberry.com/store/watches...m-chronograph/
In short, it is a UNISEX watch. cripes...
EDIT: just realized everyone has the wrong style #. There is a smaller face that is the 9022. Mine is the 9357. Sorry for the confusion.

LOL, just giving you a hard time. With watches, if you like it wear it.....
even if it is a woman's watch.
jk...... sort of.
Hey, look at the ugly piece of crap I am wearing right now. You can still buy this 90's relic BNIB online for 30 bucks! I like it, because it reminds me of 90's stuff.

Yeah, it's a nice watch.
I checked the burberry site and it's shown under both women and mens. Personally like the darker strap more, but nice watch!

I like the look of the darker strap/face too, but when I put it on I just gravitated to the white face. It actually matches really well with my work clothes.
There is also a black face/strap out there, but you lose all of the detail with that one. You can only see the detail by putting it right next to your face.

Never did update this after I went to Vegas.
I ended up buying a Tag Heuer Formula 1 watch (model WAH1011). The deal wasn't thaaaat amazing, but still had it under $900 when it was said and done, which is probably decent for a TH. I love it though, can't wear it to work cause I'm scared I'm gonna wreck it so its a days off watch now. The store had a lot of options and actually had a few of the 2013 series but at a little to no discount. Great experience though, I tried on about a dozen watches and staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Pic below...sorry for the stock pic.

Nice. But I without knowing exact prices and 'the deal' you may have been able to get a similar deal right here in town. 15-30% off would be fairly standard here depending on brand, model, popularity, etc.
Not trying to take away anything from you, I am glad you got a watch you like at a price that was acceptable to you. Just mean that you don't always have to leave town to achieve that.

Without going through the entire thread, can anyone recommend a nice dress/casual watch that made of titanium? I have a nickel allergy, so I can't wear most metals.
What are some good brands I should look for? I was looking at some Fossil watches today. I'm not so big on brand names...as long as it looks nice. Any places online to maybe start my search?

I just bought a Bulova Precisionist, it is made of titanium. I bought it at Costco, that might be an option for their return policy, should the watch not work out for you.

I'm not going to pretend to know anything about watches but why does it have the months on it? Is that just to intentionally give it more size?

Anyone care to throw out a recommendation for a metal-band chronograph as a gift for my old man?
Under $1000?
He is 82.
This is a "no reason" present.
Thanks CP!
