I really hope Feaster isn't out in Bat Country all alone out there. Weisbrod had better keep an eye on Jay because I fear he might try to do something a little wild!

That trade probably keeps us picking between 6 and 11. In the long run, it hurts us.
Such a stubborn management group.

Why trade away players like Tanguay just to trade for players like Coburn and Read? They are not young enough to fit a rebuilding Flames team.

Any proof that's what the Flames actually offered, or are we just going to go off based on rumours?

If it is true it was a really bad move by Feaster. Coburn is 29 and Read is UFA at season end. If it is true it shows the Flames still haven't learned their lesson and are still trying to build the wrong way. It also goes down with the Richards contract and O'Reilly offer sheet as dumb luck bullet dodges by Feaster.
But again, only if it is true.

I don't believe the Flames made that offer to Philly. I think Philly made that offer to Calgary and it was them that rejected it.

How is it dumb luck that Richards turned down his offer, the Av's match his ROR contract offer, and supposedly Philly turns down his recent trade offer??
Doesn't that mean Feaster didn't offer enough? Which means he didnt over pay or over value?
People need to cut this guy some slack.

If it was true, i think ownership would be the one to blame, not Feaster. I think Feaster has accepted the rebuild, i am not convinced that ownership has.

I think this needs to be re-posted for all the over-reactors on here.
It's starting to feel like HF more and more on here lately.

No matter what happens tomorrow, I am going to be 10x more entertained by watching the reactions here, then I am the actual draft. I'm kind of hoping Feaster does something...epic just to watch the meltdown here.

What exactly does panic bring you? Whatever it is, you must have a hell of a lot of it by now.

Hey, I'm really curious to know what some of you think where Jankowski would be drafted if this was his draft year and not last. He missed this draft by, what, 5 days? Top 15? 20? Second round? Where would he fit in?

Probably in the 12-15 range, in the same ball park as Fredrik Gauthier (although Janko has more offensive upside to Freddy)

Yeah, the offer was so terrible that Philly turned it down. Either that wasn't the offer, or it was pretty close to fair value.

Well, it's one of those that's bad for both teams. If there is truth to it. The Flyers might feel it's too much to go from Horvat to Monahan, while acquiring Read and Coburn would be silly and pointless for the Flames.

I find it odd that people pile on posters that are worried. Why? You trust our GM who has narrowly avoided disaster twice? Where does this trust come from that people can sit back and mock others?
