He is currently in his third year as a pro. Sounds pretty prospecty to me. Who care's how old the kid is? I only care how good he turns out.

Totally agreed, it's two out of the three pieces I wanted for Jarome. I would have like someone else besides the 24 year old.

Ballpark what I expected but Disappointed they didn't at least get spooner. And the bad defenceman throw in... Just why even bother, a late pick would have been better.

If Iginla was going to leave as a free agent anyway, the return is appropriate. In any case, the way that some people chased the greatest player in the history of the franchise out of town was not.

I think the key to this trade is the first rounder and how it is used

I'm so confused. The Kings were offering up better packages than that. Feaster wouldn't give up on Bernier or Toffoli. I figure he was being stubborn because deep down he didn't want to trade Iggy to a western conference team and was possibly driving up the price for the Bruins or Penguins. But with what he's getting back, that makes no sense. What the heck?????

I love how many people are bashing the rumored return from Boston and say they would rather keep Iginla...Yet you would be the same people complaining about Feaster not getting anything for him if Iggy stays and walks in the off season. To be fair to Jay Feaster, Iginla has given him a select 4 team list of destinations. If this was a league wide bidding war, sure you could expect some massive return, but when it looks like only 2 of those 4 teams are actually interested...
Just saying your expectations need to be more realistic.

No, this is like the Regehr trade. "It couldn't be that!" ... it was, it is. Wanted better, but we all did. Interested to see where they project Koko, hopefully not as a Backlund replacement.

As a guy who watches a lot of OHL I have seen Koko play and he can be dazzling. Really good hockey sense and great hands. His defensive game is non existant though, he is a pure offensive guy. I would not be shocked to see him become a top line C, he has the tools.

I wish they would have let him take one last face off at least. Let the crowd pay their respect.

Feasted better have just leaked that out to entice offers from the other three. Wtf wouldn't you just wait the four days and see what you can get?

I'm happy for Iginla in that he gets an excellent chance of winning a Cup.
I hope it ends the same way it did for Ray Bourque with Iggy raising the Cup

I heard that the Flames are getting prospect Ben Dover as part of the deal, too.

And agree with others here, they need to do something with that first. Get another from other deals and package them to move up. Don't just treat it as their second round replacement and be aggressive with it.
