Anyways just wanted to show off my new baby, this is the first "good" watch I've ever owned and it's mostly because of this thread.

Did it just come in that bag?
Seems kind of odd that it doesn't have an actual box from Citizen.

Yeah was well packaged but was indeed just in the bag. They say right on their site the citizen box is only included when shipping to Australia, USA, HK, South Korea & Japan.
It is weird that they can ship the box to the US but not Canada.

Any place that will lie on customs forms is automatically sketchy.
But hey, you got the watch, who cares.

Well if it's a counterfeit and it starts burning a hole in my arm or stops working in a year I'll revoke my recommendation for them... however if it is a fake it's got me fooled.

That site is pretty good. Lots of selection and nice prices too.
Is there any way to tell if it's real for sure? Could you go to a jeweller or a watch store and have someone who knows about Citizen and Seiko take a look at it?

First page is personal massagers...there's actually an item called "personal vibrator", so I don't think they were trying to disguise anything.

I immediately scrolled to the toy section.

Like I said before, I did as much due diligence before ordering it as I could. All the guys on watchuseek forums didn't have an issue with this seller and the seller was highly recommended. One thread had a guy mention that he sent his in for a warranty fix which was honored by Citizen.
Yes you run the risk of forgeries buying online, but with this specific seller it seems rather minimal.

That's pretty decent...especially if Citizen is honoring warranties on those watches. That alone would lead me to believe that it's legit.

The people on watchuseek are way more anal and informative than you or I could ever be. If they say it's cool, it is.

I am positive I saw that exact watch at Northland Winners yesterday for 99 bucks. Sometimes Winners gets some real nice stuff. Around Xmas they had a ton of nice Invicta divers for Amazon level prices.

I have the same watch, actually. I love it. The silica (sp?) is great for in the shower/pool/ocean and it's one of the only watches I've owned that is comfy enough to wear 24/7.

Anyone have any insight on Baume and Mercier? I was originally going to go with an Oris, but I figure I might wait a bit and step into another price bracket. Thinking of this chap, the chronograph flyback 10006.

Baume et Mercier are nice, reliable Swiss timepieces. They're under the Richemont Group umbrella which also owns Jaeger LeCoultre, Cartier, IWC, Vacheron Constantin and Panerai. So they're certainly in good company.
AW has the 10006 for a pretty good discount off retail (if you're okay with grey market). http://www.authenticwatches.com/capelands1.html

Good stuff. Only problem is they don't have in house movments, so they get their movements wholesale from a supplier. For the price, I would think it'd be in house.
Regardless, I like their design for the watches.

I have had one of these discontinued atomic watches since 2005. Still the same solar rechargeable battery. Weighs less than 2 oz. Ceramic with sapphire crystal.

After browsing through the thread, I was disappointed to see nothing highlighting the 'it' color for this year, Rose Gold.
Picked this heavy sucker up last night:
Fits like a glove and looks great. Movement is passable.

Ordered one of these off of Amazon today... they are finally back in stock. I have been humming and hawing on this watch for the better part of a year. I was just finding my current dive watches weren't performing well while I was doing hull repairs on moving Submarines in the arctic, so I figured I would order the king of Econo dive watches Citizen Eco-zilla:

Any opinions on Tissot? I've had my eye on the PRS 516 Automatic since I saw it in Switzerland last fall. Just wondering if it's something worth considering.
