I was away for a week, so I didn't have a chance to respond. Some of these are from the LCS thread.

Hoping for a NY and obviously St. Louis series but so long as the Giants don't luck their way to the title I think the other 3 are all deserving.

The Tigers have shown they are not good defensively. I'm still not sure why you think the Giants got lucky.

Their hitting has been very good this year, especially in the second half. They don't hit a lot of home runs, but they lead the league in triples. Posey won the batting title and the team was 6th in runs scored in the NL, even with a tough park to score runs in.
Their pitching depth allowed Lincecum, a two time Cy Young winner and 2010 playoff MVP to come out of the bullpen. He's thrown 13 1/3 innings with a 0.69 ERA.

I think the Tigers should sweep whoever wins the NL barring a miracle Carpenter performance or blow up by one of their pitchers.

Good call on the Tigers sweeping.

I'm not sure what else the Giants can do to prove they are a very good team this year.

I'm not one to buy into narratives or that I, or we, as fans know how chemistry affects a team, but the Giants seem to have a ton of confidence, for whatever it's worth. They're still so young, they have no egos on the team and they seem to have an incredible amount of chemistry. The biggest thing for them is going to be the two starts by Zito (If he even makes a second one)
I like the Giants in 6.

Completely agree. leaving Melky off the roster was a tough call, but the right one. It would have killed their chemistry. Lincecum accepted a bullpen role and really excelled at it. All the guys left off the roster look like they are having fun in the dugout and are supporting each other. Everyone has one common goal of winning. It's nice to see in baseball.

The Giants played great defence, but that is how they are built. They may not score the most runs in the league, but they will take away runs from the other teams with pitching and fielding. They created their own luck. The Tigers chose to put Young in LF. I'm not sure he even owned a glove before this series. His throw home in game 1 showed it.

Joe Buck and Tim McCarver are just awful. So much of what they say is wrong and biased. It's not as bad as listening to Hughson, but it's close. There was a Joe Buck Sucks sign at the game. One usher wanted it taken down. Every other usher and security guard said it could stay. Majority rules!

I'm going to guess Mitch Williams and AJ Pierzinksi as well. They just hate the Giants. Before the St. Louis series Buck did not want to give either team a check mark for defence. McCarver tried to talk him into Crawford and Belt. Buck said they were bad because Crawford had errors.

They also gave Fister a standing O after he got pegged in the head in game two. That was super scary to see and I felt sick right away. It was good to see him able to walk, never mind how good he was the rest of that game.
I'm sure there are jerks on every teams' fan base.

Garbage team? More HOFers than any other franchise. Reached the World Series second most times in history. They are poised to take two of the last three World Series trophies. They have a beautiful ballpark that was built without public funds. They treat their former players very well.
If you don't like Bonds fine, but it's tough to throw stones when you have McGwire in your history and currently on the coaching staff. I like Bonds. I know troutman does not. Most fans like to defend their team. It's why we watch sports.

Not sure what Wilson does that makes him a bad person or one you would dislike. He's a good closer and has fun with himself off the field. He's eccentric and goofy. Some people take life very seriously. He's enjoying the ride.
