And how many times have we heard that from how many different parties?
I get the need to be optimistic, but damn, try being a bit realistic for once.

The city worries if the sales tax measure goes to the November ballot and the increase is reversed it won’t be able to afford the Coyotes deal.
The Arizona Supreme Court is considering the ballot measure case and Glendale’s argument that it should not go to the November ballot.
Glendale spokeswoman Julie Frisoni said the council has instructed city staff to come up with some new arena options.
Those options could be presented to Jamison tonight.
Glendale could look to pay Jamison less money to run Jobing.com Arena, change the annual payment structure or looking for more revenue in the deal.
The Jamison camp also says Glendale is trying to change the terms of the lease deal and payments to the Coyotes.
The two sides have been holding private meetings on the sale and the lease deal.

This really sums up a lot of the issues with ever closing a deal in Glendale, they put terms out and as you reach them they move the goalposts. You can only go to investors so many times before they just get fed up, regardless of their passion or belief in a project. There's so much uncertainty with your counterparties that closing a deal seems impossible.

Legal Brief filed by Glendale First in AZ Supreme Court:
http://www.azcentral.com/ic/communit...icus-brief.PDF
“Glendale First! in opposition to petition for Initiative I-12-01” is a
rival campaign to plaintiffs/appellants, Save Glendale Now. It is now faced with
having to campaign against an initiative where the signatures were gathered
without the signers having the benefit of the campaign disclosures the law requires.
Voters, petition signers and potential petition signers are entitled to know who is
marketing ballot propositions. Arizona’s disclosure laws require that campaign
committees provide this information. Here, Save Glendale Now did not. It is not
substantial compliance with the law to omit arguably the most important piece of
information about a campaign, which side it is on. That bell cannot be unrung.
Allowing the initiative to go on the ballot only rewards Save Glendale Now’s
flouting of the law. Under these circumstances, the appropriate remedy is to bar
this initiative from the ballot.

Alexisonfire should release an updated song called 'Counterparties and Number Them'.
Then, the video should just be live shots of a Glendale Council Meeting with Alexisonfire edited in rocking everywhere in the meeting and all kinds of awesome CGI with dinosaurs, coyotes, hockey sticks and debt collectors running everywhere and partying.

I think that just might be enough to get them to re-form the band

They're doing a very small farewell tour, unless something has changed dramatically they'll be playing those few shows then be done for good. That video idea above might just be that dramatic change though.

I'd feel sorry for the people of Glendale if they weren't responsible for electing these fools.

If Travis had treated Old Yeller like this, he would have been indicted on federal animal cruelty charges. And I don't even know if that's possible.
Put a bullet in this dog's head, jesus christ.

I fail to understand the continued secrecy of the buyers, it is not like they are bidding against anyone...

If they're secret, then nobody knows for sure that they aren't real.
