These issues are why other sports have coaches challenges, video review, and/or multiple refs. So many bad calls in the game today.

I think it is just natural.

The US is Canada's natural rival.

You don't see Flames fans rooting for the Oilers or Canucks much do you? Especially right after losing a controversial game to them.

When asked, do you have a message for the fans back home? Sinclair says "sorry we let you down."

US coach Pia Sundhage says she's never seen the 6-second rule enforced (McLeod's failure to release ball, led to penalty kick)

I haven't been this devastated about a sporting event loss in years....maybe since 2004.

At least they have a day to re-group. I hope they come out hard for bronze. They can beat France.

But dammit, dammit.

I feel the same way. I watch the odd soccer match but I was heavily invested in this match.

Although it's only women's soccer, I honestly got vibes from the Miracle on Ice in this game. Canada hasn't beaten the Americans in ages, and upsetting the Americans know could very well have been the biggest upset our nations history.

It's really too bad it didn't work out in the end, as it was so damn close!

In this case there isn't you can either hope that the United States wins or the lose. I guess you could wish that everyone has fun or something dumb like that... but there is no real middle ground.

Yeah, I don't hate the Americans any more than I usually do for that, almost any athlete will take what is given them. But that, frankly, was a black eye for soccer. And if the American commentators had any guts, they would say so as well.

What a travesty.

Absolutley devistated for those ladies, nobody deserves to be robbed of a result like that.

No only with the ridiculous call of the 6 second rule (who in the hell decides to pull that one out in the 80th minute of the semi final game of the olympics) but rarely would you see 2+ minutes of stoppage time in an extra time with no goals or major stoppages.

Those ladies should keep their chins up as they made us all proud.

The length of injury time made sense. There was someone going down after virtually every play. Even at 15-20 seconds each, it adds up.
