I really don't want to get into this, but the Steelers were a good team. Tebow played well in that game. But yes, I can see what you're saying/why you would say it.

The Steelers were a good team that was incredibly injured. Would have been interested to see what happens if Big Ben could actually move in that game instead of being a statue or if the OT pass works with Clark in there, but that is what happens late in the season and certainly not Teblows fault. Also not sure that he was that good in that game. Did Denver score a point in the 2nd half?

SI reporting that the Saints players suspensions will be announced next and that Vilma is the player that will get the largest suspension.

I laughed at

"Commish should punish the Saints even more by making them trade for Tebow and starting him".

Not sure what Brees is trying to accomplish with those comments. Payton has never been known as a "straight and narrow" type of guy.

I'll be curious to see his reaction after the player suspensions.

I wouldnt worry about it too much. Anderson played well for 4 years in Chicago before his weak year in Houston.
As long as Buffalo uses him in a pass-rush role primarily, I think he will be a decent #2 end

Warren Sapp the moron wrong yet again?

Quote:
It’s our understanding that Sapp’s source is wrong, and that the person he identified isn’t really the whistleblower. Still, it’s a topic that never should have been discussed on the network owned by the league.

Player safety has been first and foremost for Goodell for a long time now, and when the Saints ignored the warning to stop the practice of putting players squarely in harms way, they earned what they received today. On top of that, Payton was still denying any knowledge of the practice AFTER league investigators uncovered an email where he was openly discussing the bounty program with a current player. So in essence, he lied directly to Goodell. Add all that up and you can see why what happened today...happened.

This isnt over either as the players involved now have to pay the piper as well and the reason it hasnt happened yet is the league has presented all the evidence to the PA to allow them to investigate/verify the information on their own, and then the hammer will come down on them too.

The Patriots have announced the signing of veteran cornerback Will Allen.
A first-round draft pick of the Giants in 2001 out of Syracuse, Allen was with New York through 2005 and has played for the Dolphins for the last six seasons.

They had a field goal in the 4th quarter.

Thanks for pumping the Steel's tires a bit moon. I still think the Lions got robbed by some brutal calls vs. the Saints in the playoffs.

I think he's never going to be a starting QB in this league for any long term plan, the Jets are a way better fit for Tebow considering the coaching staff actively wanted him

Not entirely out of the realm of possibility they could be drafting in the top 5 for a few years. A lot of unknowns starting over in so many areas.

Unrelated, Interesting that the colts seem to be the only people still ranking luck as the top choice. Hopefully they just go ahead and sign him already. I say that as a redskins fan, as I definitely see rg3 as a guy who can help us a lot more than luck would and definitely see Luck as second choice.

Both guys at ESPN, Mike Mayock at NFL.com, CBS and Scouts.com all have Luck as number 1 still. Not sure if I am missing a big one but it seems like everyone but fans still have Luck as #1.

Not sure how getting the second best QB in the draft helps the Redskins more than getting a better QB.

Yeah I don't think it's just the Colts that have Luck still rated #1 but okay. And I'm fine with them drafting him, his body of work, his leadership is what I put stock into. This offseason and combine stuff I don't put much stock into personally. Colt's could easily be cellar dwellers for a few years but I'm fine that. Unlike the Redskins they have the luxury of still having those 1st round picks and a ton of cap space starting next year. Luck will also be able to throw to one of the best receivers in the game in Reggie Wayne which will only help him moving forward.
