^^I should clarify...they had machines in Calgary and Vegas. Vegas was just random on who they put through and the fiance and I just walked right past it, no questions asked. Phoenix also had machines, but no one were going through them.

Which is also not surprising, they aren't replacing the standard metal detectors with them, they're supplemental. They were also supposedly pulled off-line for part of wednesday.

Are you talking about racial profiling?

I think profiling in general, doesn't have to be racial.

If a guy buys a ticket for an international flight day of, pays cash, doesn't check any baggage, and isn't wearing clothes appropriate for the destination, buddy SHOULD be profiled and be interviewed.

Canadians and their common sense. You know that kind of thinking isn't appreciated by the TSA, time for your pat down, Photon.

I don't see anything wrong with profiling even if race is one of the factors being used... and I consider myself a pretty liberal person. And it's not like only non-white people get profiled. For example, say if a child prostitution ring was discovered in Thailand, do you think that the police should expect that Thais born and raised there are the main clientelle, or do you think they could be a little more efficient and start looking at the ex-pats that live there from places like North America and Western Europe?

That is not to say that others should be overlooked or anything.

You just described the underwear bomber to near perfection...yet he slipped through the crack somehow. That was before the TSA though.

Mick Foley has released a new book where he talks about getting a massage from a guy at a sports therapy special and "It moved"

I would be worried about some dude at an airport giving me the pat down and "It moves"

I'm talking about a lot of different ways to profile someone.

Racial profiling is only part of it.

Bad news vegas or calgary were not using the machines. No one got patted down next time I go to the states maybe I will get lucky. The one brown guy we traveled with did though get a "random" secondary search in calgary. He is now 4/5 on getting secondary searched while leaving calgary airport.

I asked my parents about the evil TSA as they just got back from Hawaii, no issue, only saw one person have to go through the scanner.
