I'm sure we have all read reports about how attractive people are being targeted. Whether the majority of these are true or not, I'm sure it has happened and is 100% unacceptable IMO.
I'd take her aside for additional screening, if you know what I mean....

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.
Unwilling to submit to the TSA's controversial full-body scan, one enterprising traveler at LAX hoped to bypass the dreaded pat-down by wearing only a bikini through the security checkpoint.
While the merits of wearing a bikini to the airport in the name of advocating personal privacy are debatable, it did provide more fuel to fire this story in this traditionally slow news week.

When I first glanced at the title of the thread I honestly thought it was about a guy named "Pat Downs" and I was wondering what he had done at the airport that had crossed the line. I should probably go to sleep early tonight, my brain is obviously not functioning properly.
If our last line of defense against terrorists are a bunch of high school dropouts making minimum wage, then we really are doomed.
Good 'homeland security' starts before the terrorists arrive at the airport.

The scanners are basically x-rays which makes their safety questionable.
In Canada we use different machines which are based on 'millimeter wave' technology; apparently something more along the line of an ultrasound. In the states they use backscatter x-ray scanners which carry a more substantial radiation amount.
So they are supposed to be safe in Canada, and I have never had an inappropriate touch in Canada. Some of them can be stupid knobs, but lots of them are decent and even helpful and friendly.
This past week I've flown out of Calgary, Las Vegas, and Phoenix. No pat downs, no xray scanners, just the metal detectors. Very surprised at how hyped up this was and not to see it anywhere in my travels. I fly back from Phoenix to Vancouver later this week so we'll see if the same thing happens.

They aren't in every airport or every set of security points so it's actually not at all surprising you didn't see them. The hype is about what happens where the machines are actually located.
