This is a dismantling of the Rangers.

Game 1 against Lee was supposed to be the tough one.

That's a good point, but IIRC, Lee doesn't pitch on shortened rest. Never has. Obviously, this is a special situation...

Yeah, I read in one of the New York papers during the ALCS that he has never pitched on less than four days rest in his entire career. Like you said though, this a speacil situation.

Then we get a SF-Texas World Series after a wonderful playoffs so far...and nobody watches. They want to watch the Yankees!

But why? These are two really good teams. Are people not watching simply because of the city on the front of the jersey?

Baseball seems to be in a lose-lose situation.

The North-East US is a huge market. And many have moved west to other parts of the country.

Well, 10 million people live in NY, so it's pretty predictable that fewer people will watch when the Yankees fans tune out.

The Giants play in their own ballpark so well. Usually I find in the World Series that the field doesn't matter that much... but this year it's so different. Rangers hitting the ball into dead parts of the park, Giants hitting the gaps.

Now what do the Giants do in the American League Park? Who will be DH.

Scenario 1: Keep defense the same and Kung Fu Panda is the DH.

Scenario 2: Scherholz in RF and Burrell as DH

Scenario 3: Ishikawa at 1B and Huff as DH.

Scenario 4: Fontanot at 3B and Uribe as DH.

Alot of good options, which would you choose?

SF has scored 20 runs so far in the first 2 games of the series.

Giants lead the series 2-0.

I think I would go with Scenario 3. I would take Ishikawa's bat over Panda's, Scherholz or Fontanot. Plus Uribe has been lights out at 3B. And it allows Bouchy to continue to make his defensive switches in the outfield with a lead.

Rangers are just getting roped. Unbelievable.

Aubrey Huff and Pablo Sandoval could be the DHs against right-handers Colby Lewis and Tommy Hunter in Games 3 and 4, though not necessarily in that order, with a right-handed hitter against Cliff Lee in Game 5.

Pat Burrell is not a lock to be that right-hander. Bochy said the staff has discussed Burrell's struggles as a DH in Tampa Bay and will take that into consideration.

I think they should go with Kung-Fu Panda, but he has been slumping all year.

They discussed that in the pre-game on Fox. Ozzie Guillen said that he watched Pat Burrell swing the bat and said he looked like Zorro (stabbing at the ball, I assume) and he would have sat him too.

I think they're good moves. Isikawa and Schirholtz haven't started games in forever, but upgrade the defense and get Burrell's bat out of the line up. THe consequence is that that Bouchy can't make his usualy defensive upgrades late in the game if he has a lead.
